    Suggestion: graphing lines or Grid

Snapping to x/y/z is already possible but i would love to have graphing lines to better adjust my curves and straight lines when placing points or materials. I think it would greatly improve tracks being made.

    I agree.
I'd love to have the whole map covered in a grid or at least be able to expand the grid when you use an object to set the snapping plane.

Hell yes, brilliant idea. Nothing worse then hitting your corner and realising it is so tight that your rider turns inside out haha. Would also make transferring a track design from paper to the game easy

That would be very helpful. Would make decorating soo much easier with that ability. Very time consuming trying to make things line up just right. i build a lot of my stuff for background on the driving line so i can snap things and make them line up perfectly and then use the area selector to move them. Having the area selector is a great addition, but even with that still tedious to line things up on the driving line when your object begins to be 3d.

But then again, the ability to make things look perfect from putting in the time necessary to do so. Separates the men from the boys. The truly dedicated from the nonchalant builders.

Would save a hell of a lot of time if it was implemented though. At first I didnt understand why it wasnt there in the first place I had thought it would be one of the main features of the editor. Sadly I didnt find it after searching thoroughly for it

One thing is that it must be implemented right. Mainly when adjusting the height of the Lines and the amount of them.
For me, the best way i could see this implemented would be:
Adding a new options menu/submenu for it. Changing different settings that you would normally find in things like photoshop. Like the amount of lines/how closely together they are. And for the Height, I would love to have an option to either add 1 "Y" Line, and adjusting its height, or many height lines (determined by the amount of lines u choose). And choose how transparent it is.

Not sure how easy this would be to add to the game, but i doubt its crazy complicated. The game world wont change, there would just be semi-transparent lines running through the world.

Is there a way to rotate an object to line up with the current local coordinate system?

I believe you can only snap items 0,90,180,270,360 of the current place of your item. Only one you can lineup with is the Racing line.

Noone else believes this would be extremely useful?
I Normally wouldnt bother bumping, but this would help designing so much.

This isn't an ideal solution, but in Trials HD I just put together loads of finishing line objects, so it looked like a chessboard. It sort of resembled a grid, and helped me to line things up. You could probably do something similar in Evolution?
