Hey folks,
Havent really messed with the level editor that much just yet but got a little idea for a track in which you climb a highrise or something along those lines... Im just wondering is it possible to change the direction of the driving line once you have created a level?
u can but u mite find half the stuff will need to be moved to cater for the driving line dependin on wat u r wanting
This is my first time messing with the editor and I cant figure out how to curve the driving line. I know at the start, when you are placing the start and finsh, you can do it. But how do I curve the driving line after that?
Thats the point i was trying to make haha... had a little go earlier today and when creating the start/finish checkpoints, i just added loads of markers for the curvature of the track... then made parts of my map and used the markers to curve where it was needed...Originally Posted by acdougla17
Hi Mate,
Before you get too ahead of yourself, I'd recommend you try this: http://www.redlynxgame.com/forum/vie...hp?f=81&t=7776

However to answer your question. Place the two spline points the editor makes you do when you first start. Grab your second spline point, hit 'Y' to copy then continue. If the drive line goes red, it's too sharp. You can also use RT and LT to adjust the curve to make it smoother or sharper. A little advice: Try not to makes the curves too sharp. The rider does not feel natural when corning sharply because the bike and rider do not lean sideways with a curve and it just looks off.
Hope this helps.
