    Help with the camera

Is the anyway to switch off a camera after it gas been triggered by an area trigger.
Basically you drive, then hit a trigger and a different static camera switches on, how do you make It switch off by hitting another trigger?

    Re: Help with the camera

I wanted to do this yesterday. I wanted to hit a ramp and have the camera switch. And it worked but once my rider landed the camera stayed on and didn't switch back to the rider camera.

First watch the tutorial on game camera, custom camera, and Triggers and Events from here:

    http://www.redlynxgame.com/forum/vie...hp?f=81&t=7776

The two basic ways to get another camera to activate are to use the Activation Distance: a sphere around the camera which will turn it on when the player enters it; or forcing the camera to be the game camera through a trigger and then forcing it off. This option is in the Advanced Camera settings. You highlight the Game Camera option and push Y to choose a trigger source. The tutorials explain it much better.

Also make sure you're using the pro editor.

What you do it you increase the range in the camera option. Also don,t use the camera event.

None of the tutorials explained that. I am still not sure how to switch it off.

The Custom Camera tutorial didn't cover what you needed? In general you don't need any extra triggers, you just need to spawn a Custom Camera, position it, then increase the Activation Sphere (visualized by white dotted lines) till the rider will pass through it. When they enter it will activate the camera and when they leave it will go back to the default game camera.

Play with the custom camera by spawning one then putting it right next to the driving line and test it to see what happens. Then move the camera further away. Eventually it will never activate because the activation distance is too short.

I've used the second method; a trigger to activate the Cameras "Game Camera" option and a second to turn it off; because I wanted a long shot and it was easier than increasing the Activation Distance to 100 meters (or whatever).
