Suggestions to improve the "track central"

Suggestions to improve the "track central":

Most downloaded tracks of the week: Only tracks with rating greater than 3.

I think there needs to be better management of the ratings people are giving their own tracks relative to difficulty. At the very least, RedLynx could create a video tutorial stating how to rate your tracks appropriately. Soooo many of these tracks are erroneously labeled.

I point to 'star trek 1' as a perfect example. In what world is that an "Easy" track??

Other ways to moderate this issue would be to give users the ability to report inaproriately labeled tracks (like reporting offensive content) or allow us to actually post short comments with our star ratings so we could then communicate mislabling.

Comments would actually really be a welcome addition, since you can only rate tracks if you finish them. This means that, for tracks like star trek 1, so few people are even able to finish it that the then can't give any feedback. (no hate for this track, just a good example. It is actually a cool track, just crazy hard).

    Thanks.

You shouldn't be allowed to be on the top rated section with one vote. It should be too many to manipulate by friends. If you needed 50 votes to rank, then everything on there would be quality top hits. and lets face it quantity should play a role, a level that averaged 4.2 stars with 100 votes, is most likely a better level then a level that averaged 5 stars with 5 votes. The quantity proves friends aren't swaying the vote, and that a larger pool of people liked it. Sometimes a silly novelty level or an overally generous person slaps a 5 star rating up on a level that doesn't deserve one. plus we should be able to load up more then just 50 levels in these categories it's annoying to see your level drop off in 10 minutes. I posted my level and never even saw it on the new section, I thought it never loaded, until I saw I was getting downloads.

With all this said, I love the game and the editor, and I love the system a whole lot more then what we used to do, I dumped friends and accepted friend requests to share my levels over 3,000 times. I literally spent more time doing that then making levels with Trials HD, so thanks RedLynx for addressing this issue. This is definitly on my best games of all time list. And that's saying something for a xbla release.

    Track Central Ideas/Suggestions

For one, hopefully there will be a better system to share tracks JUST to have friends test them then rather go into a multiplayer private. This doesn't work for mini game skill games and is really important to test new game physics.

It would be great to have more tracks show up in the new Trials, Supercross, skill game sections, 500-1000+ more pages added would be great! The 50 isn't enough and doesn't give enough exposure for a track, which means you'll have to get known for people to search your tracks and also they would have to keep an excel somewhere to keep track of the good creators.

If you delete a track there's no way to see if you've previously played it. Maybe also showing a my rating in T.C. would be helpful, even better idea would be to....

Permanently delete the tracks from even being seen on T.C.! Why would I want to scroll through tracks that I don't want to play? Needs a hide filter attached to delete button haha

A way to search tracks by name

Also, it would be nice if you could save custom searches, with feeds, so you'd know when a good creator uploads a new track

And there needs to be a "Reservoir" of all uploaded tracks to peruse at one's leisure. Rather than just the latest 50 tracks. We should then be able to write a commnet about the tracks. This way, the good one's won't get away, as they do now !

People don't see to realise this is happening, and that the upload rate is 100 tracks per hour ! Only the latest 50 stay in the "hoppers" - unless it's done by a Friend, when it stays in the "Friends" tracks.

I would like to see a secondary "User difficulty rating". So when we run the track we rate it AND rate its difficulty. I never know what difficulty to rate my tracks. What I think is hard, others will find impossible or simple! So it would be handy to have a difficulty rating that had been voted on I think. May not be too tricky to implement via a patch either hopefully.
