Please add a vector generic filter for checking all three values from the vector curve data source and vector info data source.
Generic filters checks only the first value think its X value).

Yes i agree with you.... But look at it another way, the better this new PS3 game is, the more Redlynx will push out quality tracks for us, competition is actually good and pushes developers to deliver the goods.....

    So, win / win

Re: Trials Evolution: Feedback and Suggestion Thread

User created content in Super Cross does not fit my needs.

The problem is that most users direct their Super Cross tracks to single play or Xbox Live. I prefer playing sitting on the couch with several friends. The tracks have several flaws when it comes to local multiplayer. Not sure if some of them have been fixed in recent updates, but these are my observations:

[list:2rh182p0]- Steep turns – Turning tracks are impossible to play in local multiplayer. The turns mean that player’s positions must be adjusted so that the player in the outer turn is a little further than others. In worst case scenario, this leads to the point where the outer most player can see only his rear tire, and the innermost player can see his front tire. If they are little further or behind others, they are still considered to be on screen, but can’t see their bikes at all.[/list:u:2rh182p0]

[list:2rh182p0]- Too few checkpoints – Checkpoints after almost every obstacle are necessity in local play, since quick camera movements are bad in local and nobody wants to just watch while a single player is driving a long track. Also the game somehow likes to disqualify players if they fault after the last checkpoints in Super Cross.[/list:u:2rh182p0]

[list:2rh182p0]- Flawed checkpoints – This is a problem in tracks where there are checkpoints in multiple levels of the track. Sometimes players might spawn multiple checkpoints ahead if the tracks are vertical heavy. Checkpoints placed on sloping tracks are also a problem.[/list:u:2rh182p0]

[list:2rh182p0]- Huge drops – Every huge drop is considered a problem in local Super Cross. Why? If a player misses the jump, the camera might mistakenly start following that player. Others can’t see where they are driving until the dropping player faults or presses B. The game might also glitch so that it spawns and faults the dropping player multiple times, usually leading to 50-200 faults and the screen starts shaking.[/list:u:2rh182p0]

All these problems make most of the user created Super Cross content unplayable in local. I actually have to test drive every track I download in case of these problems – otherwise good track might get deleted just because it has one of these flaws.

Other than the turning tracks, these flaws are easy to fix:

[list:2rh182p0]- Too few checkpoints -> Add more, really think where there should be one, and make sure there’s one just a few meters from the end.[/list:u:2rh182p0]

[list:2rh182p0]- Flawed checkpoints -> Make sure that no two checkpoints are in the same vertical level and there is no checkpoint BEHIND another. That way no player will spawn to a wrong checkpoint.[/list:u:2rh182p0]

[list:2rh182p0]- Huge drops -> Your track can still hang in the air. Every gap just needs an autokill zone right below the gap so that no player can drop below the screen.[/list:u:2rh182p0]

Since it’s impossible to make people to really obey these rules, I propose another solution:

A possibility to edit User Created Tracks

I’m no level creator, but I could fix the tracks in minutes. All I need is the possibility to edit other player’s tracks. As of now, it seems to be impossible or the possibility is hided really well.

To prevent people from stealing each other’s tracks, there could be several possibilities:

    1. The edited tracks display a link to the original creator and/or level
    2. The edited tracks are impossible to upload to the Track Central.
    3. Other?

    Prove me wrong.

[edit] Also, randomizing tracks will only pick official included original + DLC tracks. It would be nice to include an option that it will pick any Super cross tracks you have downloaded alongside the officials.

    Subscription Feed on TC

If there was a way to create a subscription feed on TC it would be fabulous.
Being able to only view a select subset of tracks from my favourite creators would save soooo much time and hassle and is probably top of my request/ feedback list...

There may well be technological limitations on TC preventing this from being realised.

Give me a proper snap tool, something like the one in AutoCAD, where the cursor moves on a grid and snaps to its points. I know we already have a snapping workplane but it could be improved loads IMO.

I would love to see an option in the editor options to set any object not touching the drive line, to decoration...automatically. When I build, I usually pack stuff in there and compromise my run time. So, if I take an object off the drive line I always have to open up the advanced physics on the object and set it to decoration..A tool that the player could turn on and off that would automatically do that would be very nice for builders like me.
