I think there's a cheevo for uploading a 3 check point trac.. so millions of people will do just that.. only once though then I guess it will stop, and decent tracs stay at the top..

There is no achievment for uploading a track at all. What I don't understand is how some of the sh*t I'm seeing on TC has a 5 star average.

And why can't you delete your own track from track central? I'm sure there's probably a legitimate reason concerning servers and computer boxes and whatnot, it just kinda stinks.

Example:
I uploaded a quick straight track so my brother and I could compare the different bikes and their acceleration/top speed characteristics. We live five hours from each other, so uploading it to Track Central was the only way we could play together ( I hope, or else I overlooked an easier way to directly share tracks with friends ). Anyway, now that our testing is over, I, nor anyone else, I suppose, will never have another reason to play that track. It's just a straight line. I would delete it if I could.

I find most of the tracks hilarious. Though the ratings aren't so funny.

Star ratings are a bad idea. Whenever star ratings (1-5) are implemented into anything, the majority of people either vote 1 or 5. Rarely anything in between. It's just how a lot of people work.

Exactly haha. It's a flawed system and always has been.

? It's better than nothing. And hopefully, RL will implement a weighted system in the near future, so at least all those five star tracks will be weighted approximately according to number of downloads/ratings.
