    Fooflex Tracks!

    Well it's good to be back in action. Evolution is awesome. I just pumped out my first track on Evolution. It's not as polished as I plan on making my next level, but I filled the complex bar, I have tons of stuff in there it's cool to make elevators and stuff, it's virtually limitless, I've been toying with quite a few of the mechanics.

    My first track posted is Fooflex-Fun it's long and has plenty of content and challenges, especially compared to a lot of the junk out there. I wish there was a way Redlynx could filter that content. People are going to miss talented, hard working user created content because it gets lost in a sea of 10 second levels with no work put into them.

    Anyway I'll be posting another level definitely by next week. I'd love to make another one of my MONSTER levels I used to do for Trials HD, maybe not next, but definitely for the future.

    Good to hear. Your THD tracks were always unique. Like the one where you launched all those barrels, i always thought that was pretty cool.

    I gave it a try already, your tracks are always unique.
    New editor has a bit of a learning curve. I agree on junk
    Tracks. I spent hours playing around on my track just
    To see it wiped off boards in 20 minutes by the "look
    I made a ramp and a finish line" track.

    thanks. I'm working on something new. there is a learning curve, it seems at first some choices were counterintuitive but you start to realize the choices made. Like they designed it were you have to put extra things on the board a trigger can't just turn on the physics, it has to activate a physics event and the event in turn activates the object's physics, annoying but now at one glance of the level you can visibly see all the setup instead of having to go into each trigger to look.

    I am frustrated with the way the track central is setup, so far Redlynx is only promoting their own levels, I'm sure that'll change but what's up with the top rated section, the formula is based on rating only(does not factor in quantity of ratings) the whole list is idiots with one 5 star rating they're all terrible levels, and I'm sure they had their friend rate them. They need to fix that, quality 4 or more star levels that have 50 plus votes are what you want to find on there. My level hit 2,659 downloads, and 68 votes averaging 4 stars, and I'm happy with that but I worked hard on that thing and it's kind of a disservice to see a level that is one ramp and a finish line have 20,000 downloads and be on the top download list. there should be a way to knock certain levels down in a way thats not offensive to the users. But you have to be careful, something like that can be abused quickly.

    If they don't fix it soon will be overwhelmed with junk and people will loose interest, people get sick of downloading junk and they get sick of of making good levels that get ignored. The system should not allow you to be placed in the rated section until you get a certain number of ratings. One vote should not dictate your presence on the top ten list.

    Just wanted to update my topic here with my latest track. I put this out a few days ago actually. It's called FOOFLEX KABLOOM! it's a lot smoother than my last track, works better and is a blast to play, a roller coaster feel with some interesting twists. Check it out if you haven't already.

    I'm working on a few new things. My experiements are starting to bog me down, there are so many options, I'm playing around more with different concepts then I am fleshing out one board. But I'm finally sitting down to make more of a technical board with some stand out moments, I want something more polished that resembles something you'd find in the official game. So I'll post that once finished and I'll be posting videos soon too.
