It would also help if track creators couldn't vote on their own track. If you vote your track a 5 star it will show up on the "highest rated" page.

It does suck when you click on a 5 star track with 1 rating. You just know how that rating got there.

Seriously dood stop being a spoiled baby. Look in THD there was NO leaderboards or ways to share tracks other than by friend request. Everyone *****ed and moaned and Redlynx gave us a solution. The fact that your tracks ARE up there and HAVE leaderboards should be enough.

Get good at making tracks and you will be on the top 50 you suck then people will have to search.

    Kmon really now!
This shows you don't know how the system works and haven't made any yourself.

A great track worthy of 'Canonisation', can be lost forever, witihn 30 minutes, whilst a track that is rubbish, but given 5* by just 2 of his friends, can stay in the "Top Rated" forever.

Please suss out the system properly before commenting on my thread. And of course the other comments here - and elsewhere on other threads - that agree with me.

Hopefully time will allow redlynx to tweak the system further and allow for an improved method. I'm sure they are paying attention to this and will endeavour to try and find a better system. At least I hope so. In the meantime I intend to keep trying to make tracks, improve them and see just how good I can get them, in anticipation that it will be worth it in the end.

Dont forget, the game has only been out a few days. While leaving our feedback is still very worthwhile, a fix may take some time to design and implement. So I suggest a little patience on our part, communication from Redlynx and hopefully a final resolution within a month. That would be an ideal scenario for me.

No man you are being completely childish. They have given you all you need to get your track out there. Look at the forums you will see people like Jarrett and others promoting their tracks on their forums. You are competing against thousands of people making tracks. Stop thinking you are the only one that deserves recognition. Get your friends to play it. Promote your track by name and have people download it and try it.

Redlynx is not supposed to put your track on a pedestal JUST because you think it's awesome. Do something on your part to get others to look for it, play it and rate it.

    This is a non issue!

I think it is. I myself am not a creator, but a player.

And to only be able to download the top 50 tracks, of which most have only 1-2 ratings (says nothing) is pretty lame.

Not everyone will promote their track on forums...

Re: What's the point of promoting tracks - they all disappea

There has been alot of talk about tracks being vanishing after the top 50.
Just to clarify the situation; all tracks are kept on the servers indefinetly, unless it has been reported to contain some dodgy stuff. If track has been reported, it will first be reviewed before final deletion. If the report has been done without any real purpose, the track will then be restored and the one who made the report will get marked with trolllllololo.

Fun fact: server gamertag search is case sensitive!
Some people have tried to look for their own tracks without any luck. This is the reason of the elusive and deceiving failure.

Just needs pages, so you can view top 50, then 50-100, then 100-150 etc. etc.

Well, good to know, but here's another: The Gamertag system is not case sensitive.
