Hello,
I wonder if it's possible to control the car, that comes in the advanced examples section of the editor?
I tried doing it with forces, but i can only get the body to move, the suspension acts weird and so do the tires.
It would be fun to have a minigame like Trials itself, but with a car instead of a bike
Thanks in advance![]()
Been trying to do the same myself.
Tried turning the rotation physics thingie for the front axle into a motor and make it rotate, but the wheels just become detached from the car then. Either way you do it the 2 become detached.
Presumably it'd be better to create the car and inner-workings from scratch, but that isn't really my thing. I have no doubt that it's possible however.
I would suggest doing this, because then you can make the car behave exactly as you want.Originally Posted by Jenraux
If you don't need your car to be extremely realistic, I suggest doing it with one directional force attached to the car's front and a joint in the middle to make it steer. Also the wheels can be totally static if you have top down racer camera view.
Thanks for the answers guys. Although i had a 2d perspective in mind. When you put the example car on a slope, it starts rolling forward, combine that with the gamecamera, and its pretty fun, after placing some ramps and stuff. Now if there was a possibility to accelerate and brake, and maybe lean a little, that would be very cool i think.
Oh well, maybe later![]()
