Why does bugs always stop me to create a skill game smoothly?![]()
First, on my non-uploaded mage FPS, the VDS's don't go back to start value after testing, that means if the VDS had value 5 just before going to edit mode, the value would still stay at value 5.![]()
Second, on my AC 3rd person game, the fast moving objects wont react with the area/hit triggers, and the OPE'd area triggers don't work.![]()
Newest, the vector-/ object info data sources doesn't simulate the direction/angular speed on animated objects. On physical moving objects, it does work.![]()
I don't know what's happening with your first point, but with your second point are your area triggers all inside the physics bubble? Also without wanting to sound patronising have you checked they are set up to be triggered by the correct objects? I've fluffed this one up myself a few times.Originally Posted by Blastergamer
For the last point, animated objects have no speed or direction, as they are not technically "moving". They are jumping frame by frame from one spot to the next giving the illusion of movement, and so the VIDS won't return a value.
1, the start value from the VDS should be 0, but when I achieve a value like 4 and I go back to edit mode, it would still stay at 4 instead at 0. It's maybe caused because of the Custom Game Character Checkoints and the VDS is indicating how many times you gone to the CP.Originally Posted by JaminBen007
2, It is a bug, I have the AT/HT in the physics bubble and it sometimes work and sometimes not. dasraiser also has the problem.
3. Bah, that's lame. I would need the value and it doesn't simulate.![]()
While in the editor I put six rocket effects in a cluster and attempted to glue them all together. When I hit the glue option the effects disappeared and my camera and other editor options were given limited movement. My camera only worked in 2D movement and my left joystick didn't do anything. The only way I could fix was to leave the editor or reload my track. This worked multiple times without fail. Freak accident or bug?

have you tried doing the same with focus turned off?Originally Posted by SharpieSniffer
No I haven't. I wouldn't think to do that. I'll try it next time I'm on though and get back to ya.Originally Posted by dasraiser
If you read my post again, you'll see I posted the solution to this problem...
if you turn physics on, on the force field bubble effect, it will disappear completely when you test it.
you can trick it by gluing it to a physics active object but if its glued to anything its force value reverts to 100 even if it says 0 in the options.
its a pity because you get great effects when moving it about with the force set to 0.
it loves being moved by ope.
if you stick it to a hinge its happy with force set to 0 but seems to affect itself with its own force if it is set above 0. (it goes like the clappers)
