So should we define "Standard" tags for people to use when submitting their tracks?
(Reminder, tags can be used to search, and can be saved as a custom feed)
Some are obvious (NINJA, DONKEY), but what about others like "CONTEST" or "PROTOTYPE"?
I'm assuming, of course, that we can type our own tags, and not just select from a pre-defined list. Maybe that point needs confirmed, though.
Assuming you can use multiple tags, how about one designating someone from the forums created it?
Filtering by that group would be an easy way to find the latest tracks created by users on the red lynx forums
Good idea, by the way. Get a 'standard' out before launch to create some type of order![]()
Gosh, I hope you can use multiple tags, that's kind of the point of tags.Originally Posted by Reidsey
I think FORUM is a good tag idea.
I like PROTOTYPE or TEST.
Which makes me think, can we remove our tracks from track central?
If we want others in the community to test the track, and then we make some revisions, can we get rid of the old before we post the new?
Or if we upload the same name track would it just update? Will there be "My Track Version 1.44"
for unfinished tracks i usually go with WIP.
we could expand on that and go with something like:
WIP: nowhere near finished, not necessarily finishable
alpha: the general idea is finished, but you might want to add some features. the track is finishable, but it doesnt look pretty
beta: no new features/jumps/whatever will be added, just bugfixing to do and scoring to sort out
then add whatever numbers you want as a separate tag to make sure people know if your track is a new WIP/alpha/beta
I thought you mean tags like -J88 haha
Yes thats a great idea I'm aboard! So tags are like keywords??
