So I realized that with clever use of impulses, sound events and pitches you could essentially create music in this game.
I'm thinking of making a BIT.TRIP RUNNER inspired level that has obstacles moving, appearing/disappearing etc. in sync with the music.
Is anyone else going to give custom music a try?
For sure. I have already thought about this.
Totally.
This format is totally going to rip me a new one, but I've already considered asking for basic drum (and maybe synth...) sounds for future download content.
I just figured it's too soon to be asking for more more more!
Also, I would like to see a favorites in the color selector.
RE: Colours; I did see in the tute vids there is an option when the colour wheel is up to select previous colours.
I'm sure that if you have a colour scheme you like, save the objects with the colours set and then you can pull object from favs, then use the colour.
Good thinking, I'll have to check that out.Originally Posted by AussieNufMan
Also, I just noticed there IS basic drum sounds.
So what I said earlier may be less valid.
depending on how creative you are with adjusting sound pitch, you could create a "OK GO" style music track...

I'm making a starwars themed track at the moment and have succesfully made the music using impulses and sounds. However when i test track it plays a distorted noise
Dont know what im doing wrong as it plays perfectly whilst editing.
Can anyone help?
What kind of distortion are you getting? Are the sounds set to 'Static'?Originally Posted by ShanklyLFC

How many sound sources do you have playing at once?Originally Posted by ShanklyLFC
Also, try moving the camera around in the editor, while the music is playing; does this cause the same sound distortion?
Thanks for the reply pal![]()
Yes they are all set to static also when i test track the sounds play instantly so i tried a trigger and cant seem to trigger the first impulse?
I have tried moving the cameras and moving the 'music' away from driving line to no avail.
Im using no more than 2 effects on each impulse
