Great article by OXM about Trials Evolution.
"I didn't know what Trials was till I sat down about, oh, a week ago to sample Trials Evolution preview code with Matt. Five minutes later, I'd all but carved the word into my forehead. This is everything gaming should be - generous, challenging and sociable. Let's have a think about what other games could learn from it." - Edwin Evans-Thirlwell, OXM
How can he work at Official XBOX magazine and dont know what trials is.
Dont they have internet or xboxes over there?
agreed... with the massive announcement of arcade next and the xbox editor had never heard of trials? Has he heard of an xbox before? The cake is lie. (he probably wouldn't even know what that means)Originally Posted by kellemann![]()
It's actually hilarious how misinformed the vast majority of gaming blogs/mags can be. I'm not just talking about Trials here either. I've read thousands of gaming articles from many different websites and magazines and a lot of them really p**s in my pot. The whole Jessica Chobot in Mass Effect thing still irritates me.
This article states that you can bailout over the finish line and still finish the level. I'm pretty sure that's completely wrong.Originally Posted by NonRedOrchid
If you play multiplayer, that's an option. I don't think you can do that in the regular time trails though.Originally Posted by buttcheekofdeth
From what I've seen so far only if there is an alternative endpoint. Don't know about multiplayer maybe it's an option. Personally I would hate it if every mp race would end like this.Originally Posted by GermanScientist
being able to bail out over the finish line may not be so bad as long as it is only in the multiplayer and there is an option for it to be switched off, because if it was a say a private race with me and my friends and they bailed out over the finish it just gives me some reason to hurl abuse at them![]()
Bailout finish is only an option in Supercross and not available in single player at all. I've seen this confirmed by a dev somewhere in another thread.
Thanks very much, so is that just the 4 players side by side or does that include the races we have seen with four players on the same driving line aswell?Originally Posted by NonRedOrchid
