If you are anti patriotic about your own country, then you are a traitor..........however.........you are entitled to your own opinion, as am I...

Nationalism, on the other hand, is a hatred of other countries specifically because they are different from your own, with no basis other than seemingly fundamental social values or norms.

I wouldn't say that everyone who claims to be a patriot is racist, and equally that everyone against patriotism (or what they perceived to be some kind of xenophobic attribute) is going to be left-wing, multi-cultural loving, integration-mongering hippy. I just find patriotism is a bit cringy to be honest, especially in England I feel it's a sad attempt by people who still wish that Britain is a world-leading country (if this idea of Britain as such a thing ever actually existed outside of the Home Countries...)
Dear oh dear, oh how wrong you are about nationalism...

My mate Andy explains it in simple terms...

Patriotism is racist... Anti patriotism is "left-wing, multi-cultural loving, integration-mongering hippy"

Eh? Equality is bad is it? or fighting for the values of equality is bad?

I see immigration as a bad thing on the surface, which it is to a great extent. Probably will in the short term cause problems for British people....

But when you look in a global sense, for example my home city is now full of somalians. Somalians are starving to death in many cases because the fishing industry in somalia which they relied on has been killed off by the dumping of oil in their waters...

The elite, the corporations, governments are always, always taking advantage of other countries and I see open immigration in which people have the freedom to go whever they want or just having the ability to escape the poverty their country is in is the only way to ever solve the problem.

So, patriotism and anti immigration as far as I'm concerned is prolonging the innevitable whilst contributing to the global poverty issue.

RACIST, everytime I hear that word I smile! Did you know that is an invented word by a Communist to suppress free-thought, free-opinions & free-speech? Google "leon trotsky racist"...

I get called a racist, a fascist, a nazi & all the other crap all of the time, it just means my opinions pi** people off, & that brings me to my other point:

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers- Article 19, Human Rights Declaration

I usually spout this off to whoever, & they soon shut up...

Are you insane? For a start, I didn't mention the word 'racist'.. Secondly, 'racism' by any definition or rationale is bad!

If 'racism' was a word invented to stop groups like the KKK, the EDL, and all the other insane far right 'patriots' then GOOD!

And no, I'm not saying patriot = racist... In many cases though, it does.

I don't particularly care if people are patriots or nationalists or racists or whatever, really. As long as you don't hurt other people through your beliefs and are willing to debate your own beliefs if you are trying to push your beliefs on other people. Unquestioned authority is ALWAYS a bad thing.

So you are a racist junabeats? Makes sense as you went off killing A RABS I suppose...

Besides immigration, and the NHS and all of these things that are really, really secondary...

The most important thing by far facing our generation is the banking system scam...I grow tired of seeing politicians talking about big cuts to this that and everything else.

Everybody recognises the huge crisis the world is in, but it seems like very few recognise the banking system as the source of the problem.

Sooo many complete idiots everywhere with the "it's because of immigration, "its because of benefit system, its because of labour government"

And my favourite of all the big time major league ******** reasons (usually by the much older generation) "its because we have had it too good for too long and now we are paying the price"...
