Terrain Modification is the bomb.
On a side note, apparently there's a 3-second countdown timer when switching to testing mode (just like in the old editor from THD). I'm surprised you track designers don't get impatient when fine-tuning an object, constantly switching back and forth between editing and testing modes. I'd expected an one second timer, sort of. Is there a technical cause for this, or do you guys just have a higher tolerance than me?I also didn't play many of the skill games of THD mainly due to a 3 second restart counter on bail or finish. Well, you know, once one grows accustomed to the 1-second restart of normal racing tracks...
^^^ very true. Editor should have 1 second for sure.
Actually I enjoy the 3 seconds it is like a short brake from editing. I consider it as relaxing.
Wow! So complex I can't wait to see what people come up with. I think the first track I make will take a really long time to make. Can't wait to spend many hours messing around in the editor.
The three second countdown is shown only if you go to the test drive when the first checkpoint is the active one. And even in that case you can skip the countdown by skipping checkpoints.
Come to think of it, I might have just got in the habit of jumping checkpoints or just hitting back as soon as I started testing.
Been such a long time since I ventured into the editor I simply can't remember.
Can you make a hole, ie mine entrance where the track goes underground. Or do you have to make a deep ditch and cover it?
I was wondering how far down into the ground you can go before you hit the bottom. or do you need to pile earth on top to create a journey to the centre of the earth?
