Hey all,
Okay chaps, this may seem a stupid question............I was watching that 14 minute Murdoch Loch video of him at PAX on Evolution, & what I want to know is.............why is it so important to land on the back wheel so much? Does it give you a bit of extra "bounce" for the next obstacle? Because I land on both wheels!
Just wondering...

Ever fall from a tall drop and seemingly crash for no reason? That is you smacking your head on the handlebars when you land. Landing back wheel first prevents that.
Also, if you are going for speed, landing backwheel first and rotating your front wheel over gives a bit of a speed boost. Its not as simple as just landing back wheel first though, you gotta get a feel for the timing of the rotation...
You wanna get as little "bounce" as possible. Keeping the wheels planted keeps your speed up. Jump as low as possible and bounce as little as you can when you land.
What Jook said lol
Uhhh a little technique that may help is when your about to land, land on the back wheel 1st and quickly move your left analog stick or dpad left right left
I'm pretty sure that's the technique I use and I would assume how everybody smooths out their landing... Please If I'm wrong somebody correct me, it's tough to pay attention to how you move the stick when your playing it's so much instinct you just do it
