There's tons of PC gamers that don't play console games.

    Re: minecraft

I think Minecraft is the type of game I would have loved playing about 10 years ago, before I stopped playing with Legos and started playing with AutoCAD instead, lol.

I bought minecraft in the PC Alpha a year or more ago. I played it a ton and ran a server for about 9 months. Its a great game and the feeling of complete freedom and exploration is amazing. Also because of the sub-par graphics your imagination is more free to create the world you imagine. in saying that, I'd never buy it on xbox. Just not the type of game I want to play on a console for some reason. I've never played with mods or anything, but i just prefer it on PC. Also, I think Im done with the game though. I have played it for over 12 months and put heaps of hours into it, but Id just much rather play Evo. Seriously, I will put hundreds of hours into Evo and MC is the type of game that you could also do that. I would just prefer those 'wasted' hours spent in Evo.

Good game though and it does deserve the hype. Perhaps the xbox build will also be good if you have other friends that have also never played it before.. not for me though.

All I can say is that I know what it is, I've never played the pc version, but I will be getting the Xbox version. I've got the money to spend without regrets and I'm sure it will keep me busy enough to be worth it. But I'm 1000000000000000000 times more happy about evo.

The game came out ages ago for the pc so everybody who wanted to play it got it already, why would you buy a game twice? For the pc and for the xbox...

    Minecraft is good.

    Its fun. Joyus and entertaining....

    BUT

It is a PC/MAC game. The controls etc will be tricky on the xbox but meh' I might get it. Depends on £$££$ at the time I suppose.

    Re: minecraft

Minecraft is a good game but it's still an overpriced piece of badly optimized and badly supported software [IMO], and I have bought it myself on the PC but haven't played it much if at all in last few months.

A friend of mine is crazy about MC and has been building his map for more than a year alone and almost never skips a day, here are some pics of his latest project:

EDIT, as for Minecraft on XBLA well... For me a huge part of this game is the mods and since you can forget mods on the XBLA version I don't really see the point, might as well get it on PC, I'd say it's good for people who just want to easily build stuff together, which is a real PITA on the PC.
