    Question about earning $$

I all my searching for news about trials evo, I have not been able to find out how money is earned ingame. Is it done through playing the game in single player and multiplayer?

I have seen in screenshots for Trials Evolution next to the player cash balance in the garage a picture of the four medal types ( Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) and a number. Does this imply that money is gained through gaining medals?

My main concern is if there is a set maximum amount of money someone can get by getting all platinum medals.

Does anyone know anything about getting money in this game?

    Re: Question about earning $$

I noticed in previews from PAX and other things like that, when you play a track in single-player and you don't beat your previous best time or get another medal it gave them $150 just for finishing the level. That was just a demo and it could change before final version is released, but it appears that if you need some extra cash you could just go finish a bunch of easy tracks over and over again, but I also noticed that buying just a helmet was more than $6000 so $150 really wouldn't be that much use if just a new helmet costs $6000. Again that was only in previews of the game, so that could all change.

If you want to see what I'm talking about search YouTube for Murdoc Loch previewing Evo at PAX and you'll see it after he finishes races that already had a faster time. I never saw anyone beat the best time or get a better medal so I don't know how much you get for that.

    Re: Question about earning $$

you get bonus cash for gaining medals.
you also get a set amount for just compleating a track.
you get more depending on the difficulty example- beginer £50, easy£150, medium £300 hard £500, extream £700.
(not exact amounts only my geuss)
and skill games give a set amount and bonus medal £ as well.

there are a few interviews on this youll have to find them your self though.

    Re: Question about earning $$

    From the TrialsHD.Net interview:

    2. How does the reward/money system work (do you earn money for every race regardless of single player/multiplayer, and in-game/custom track)?

Money is awarded for all single-player tracks, and when leveling up in multiplayer. Custom tracks do not have money awards for game balance reasons, because there’s no way for us to tell how hard a user-created track is and how much money it should award and because we can’t make it too easy to buy all the expensive outfits in the game just because you played some tracks that gave away tons of money.

In single-player, each track has set money amounts that are awarded based on a “grind+medal” principle. Each time you finish a track, you will be given the Grind reward. Whenever you get a better medal than what you used to have from that track, you will be given the corresponding Medal reward. Once you have the Platinum medal, you can still get the Grind reward from that track (Platinum medals are hard to reach, exceedingly so on harder tracks).

The rewards are ramped so more difficult tracks and better medals will give considerably more money. The goal is to encourage users to go for better medals from harder tracks since this will have a good payoff.
