I hope this is true. I am just wondering about some of the curved driving lines that I have seen on YouTube and how they will even out in multiplayer.
Single player tracks can be played online, everyone is a ghost to other players.
Devs have stated that the game compensates for the discrepancy between lines caused by curving in MP but it is supposed to be seamless so we should not notice.Originally Posted by JustJoshingU
Yea, the regular Trials tracks(1 driving line) will have other players represented as ghosts on the track so you don't have to worry about crashing into them.Originally Posted by JustJoshingU
The supercross tracks(the tracks with 4 lanes) will compensate for the curves, I'm not sure how they are doing it, Redlynx haven't shown a video of a supercross track that curves yet, so I'm not sure if the game will have staggered checkpoints and finish lines for each lane or the game compensates in other ways.
i think the singal player tracks can only be played with 1 other person.
I'm 99% sure I read that it's up to 4 players. Think one of the previews got it wrong and it was corrected here by a dev.Originally Posted by spoonfed
Yeah, that was the digital spy preview, and Sipe said there were multiple errors in the article.Originally Posted by NonRedOrchid
Yep. Its 4 players.Originally Posted by pzrtak
You can play all single-player tracks as 4-player online multiplayer, but the game will NOT spread put you into 4 parallel lanes, like it does on the dedicated multiplayer tracks.
It puts all 4 players as "ghosts" on the same driving line. So curving tracks, etc, won't be a problem.
The only thing we haven't seen yet is how exactly that will look: will the ghosts be the full biker/rider (translucent)? Or will it just be a "tag" or marker indicating the position of each other player?
I asked that in the other thread and a dev responded by basically saying that other players will appear as ghosts and not markers or tags.Originally Posted by MegaTrain
