Ok here's the deal,
I received an assignment from one of the courses that im currently in with the title, "Achieving the impossible". Basically the brief for the assignment is to set a goal for yourself that you perceive to be impossible for you to accomplish and to try to achieve it anyway. The goal of the exercise is to self-examine your own perception of difficulty and self-belief. So with this I thought it would be a great opportunity to set myself a videogame related goal
My goal is to get a world record on an in-game track by the time that the assignment is due. I thought it would be interesting to share my experience here for fun. I need help selecting a track to attempt though so if I get enough responses I'll attempt the top oneit would also be cool if you could tell me whether you think I will do this or not.
For some background, my +dlc rank is #179 and my top track rankings in order are as follows,
#19 Lost In Transmission
#44 Secret Base
#45 Wheels Of Misfortune
#46 Race Or Die
#67 Middle Name: Danger
The assignment is due at the beginning of April.
You should go for it. I would recommend The Breakdown. It's a very short track and there is alot of time left in it. I suck and I got first on it
Good luck mate, seems like you got the skills from those placements![]()
Honestly, I don't think you should attempt to get a wr on any of those tracks as I don't see you being able to do it. I would suggest Basic Bumps. I can't think of anything else on the top of my head right now.
Cheers for the support guys! Whichever track I end up doing I will be playing it exclusively for at least a couple of hours per day.
Do you have a WR?Originally Posted by Fear
I reckon you should go for it dude... Can't hurt to try, keep improving, practising and you'll get one.
Really dude?Originally Posted by Fear
The assignment was to pick something you feel is impossible and try to do it anyways. The assignment wasn't "pick something easy that you havnt done yet and do it"
As for the track you choose, Which one do you enjoy the most? Pick your favorite, you will be spending a lot of time on it.
All I did was give him a better suggestion of a track to choose.Originally Posted by jook13
That's a cool assignment. "Mom get off my back, I'm doing my homework!"
I would say pick the track you have the best rank on but Lost in Transmission would be a hard track to take. Maybe Middle Name Danger, that track has some time left in it and it's short so there's not much to screw up. And if you could get the ending wheelie that Burnzee does with a flawless first section the track is as good as yours.
