Hi all,
Download or stream the original War Of The Worlds 1938 radio broadcast by Orson Welles set in "Grovers Mill, NJ"...........this is mad!
Download Here >>> http://www.archive.org/details/OrsonWellesMrBruns
The broadcast is about an hour long, it's now 74 years old, & I think it's still brilliant, a very clever piece of radio broadcasting!![]()

I am assuming that this isn't the War of the Worlds that's on CD with David Essex
"The chances of anything coming from Mars, are a million to one they said..."![]()
Isn't "1938 radio broadcast by Orson Welles" a bit of a give-away? Er.......hello!Originally Posted by EuphoricFusion![]()
Yeah I know but the other one is awesome!
Oh you are not wrong there, I have on my iPod, awesome album!Originally Posted by EuphoricFusion![]()
Is this radio broadcast used as the voiceover between tracks in that cd?
No mate, it is a completely separate thing, have a listen, I bet you will like it!Originally Posted by EuphoricFusion
Oh, & have you seen the musical version "live on stage"....? That is brilliant!![]()
Downloading now.
Edit: just listened to the first five minutes and heard a couple of lines I recognise.
Let me know what you think........I love it!![]()
It's a real slice of the past. Kinda reminds me of Bioshock with that old gritty sound quality.
It's held up remarkably well considering it's age.
