Re: Just bought T2SE, Any tips for a noooobie??

That squashing of the suspension annoys me so much!
The Xbox controller does work out of the box, but the buttons don't map the same as Trials HD so I used Xpadder to mimic it as close as possible.
Also having the right stick for moving the mouse cursor is handy

You get it instantly if you don't mistype your email address OR if you click "proceed" (or something similar) on your screen after your payment has been verified.

I find using an Xbox360 controller makes my times slightly faster, other than that, all I can say is practice practice practice!

I've zipped up Xpadder and the config files I use if anyone wants to try it out for themselves.
Most buttons are the same as Trials HD except the bumpers (change camera angle) and the right stick (move mouse cursor and click in for left click).
Use the start button with caution though. It does pause but it is also the original button for restart track and sometimes restarts when you pause. Better off just using ESC for that.
I don't think it needs installing either. It just runs without it (very small program using minimal memory)

    3 Files.
    Xpadder.exe
    360 controller profile
    Trials 2 SE custom mapping.

First time i paid was with G2S (gate2shop, i think) and that site said it was down and the payment would not be verified, so i tried again with Paypal only to end up mistyping my email address.

But i have T2SE now...and its pretty sweet, a nice break from HD!

I still suck at T2 even with a controller....is it just me or does the bike take forever to react to all your inputs?

I had more trouble trying to keep both wheels in contact when going up a steep incline.

Inferno, Diablo and YSNP are passable with the controller I've done it. I use a wireless xbox controller with JoyToKey to play. I can't get used to the keyboard. I'm not all that great at t2se, but I am the highest ranked player with cypher in his name at 1878.

My advice would be to play on the lowest graphics setting in a window instead of full screen. Also the D-pad is definitely better than using the analog stick even if you use the analog in HD. Your practice in THD should help alot, but it's definitely not the same as hd. You have to pay more attention to the way your bike lands and it takes longer to correct yourself so keep that in mind. The bike doesn't react nearly as fast as in HD. You can still do the back wheel bounce though.
