I was really looking forward to the new ssx.
But that demo put me off, i`ts just to over the top for my taste
And railing whitout support is just as annoying in ssx as it is on custom tracks in trials hd.
Would lovee to see this game with "skate" controlls
Hmmm i Didn't think the graphics were that bad. PLUS it was allways over the top!
MMmmm I doubt i'll buy full price but if it comes with one of those activation serials **** it right off....
LMAO, I read this post then flicked back over to facebook and this was the top post. I'm sure it's right up your street!Originally Posted by CrispySquirrel

The SSX concept is a brilliant one but I think this new one falls short in it's potential. They didn't take it far enough. An example of taking it far enough and "getting it right"...is Evo vs THD. Both are great games and the same basic fundamentals...but with Evo they took the visuals, the social, and the replay value to an EPIC level. SSX....COULD BE such an amazing game...but this isn't going to be it. I'll play it...I'll have fun with it for a bit..and then it'll find it's place on the shelf doomed to collect dust for the rest of its life.
I'm not a fan of games that want me to press a crap-ton of buttons. Feels like I could win by slapping the controller.![]()
I just preordered it, it may be over the top but it's fun and I need a snowboard fix. The mp is looking tasty and survival also looks intriguing.
Most reviews say it's a natural progression forwards and still 'feels' like SSX too, and as a fan of the older games that's enough to sell it to me!
I too want a decent snowboard game, just a realistic one a la Skate
They aren't popular enough man, the ps2 had a couple of good realistic ones that didn't sell well at all, and to be fair they were pretty boring. Then you had amped which felt flimsy. The best one I've played was 1080 on the n64.
Maybe EA coud make a realistic one. I know what you mean though, the real ones I've seen so far are rubbish. The best non real one I played was Cool Boarders II on PS1.
