Just spreading the metal...
There's gonna be so much of it this year. I'm gonna keep this thread updated with all the sick new stuff that releases.

New song called Electric Rattlesnake from thrash legends Overkill. Nearly wrecked my neck listening to this. This is one band that's never disappointed once over its 25 year career.
Band: Overkill
Genre: Thrash Metal
Album: The Electric Age (17th studio release)
Release Date: RELEASED!

New song from Hirax. Long time thrash metal band since 1984. First time they've released a song as a rehearsal recording since 1986. Oh and for the record, their front man Katon is probably the craziest, most enthusiastic metal dude I've ever seen. He even encourages crowds to take over the stage and headbang with him.
Band: Hirax
Genre: Thrash Metal
Album: TBA (4th studio release)
Release Date: Summer 2013

Great new album from German thrash metal band, Kreator. LOTS of riffs, LOTS of solos.
Band: Kreator
Genre: Thrash Metal
Album: Phantom Antichrist (13th studio release)
Release Date: RELEASED!

New album from old school death metal band Asphyx. I haven't listened to this whole record yet, but its heavy as hell so far.
Band: Asphyx
Genre: Death Metal
Album: Deathhammer (11th studio release)
Release Date: RELEASED!

New album coming soon from Master.
Band: Master
Genre: Death Metal
Album: The New Elite (8th studio release)
Release Date: RELEASED!
Great song warlord, thank you for posting this!
I too think it's going to be a killer year for metal, and also looking forward to the new slayer album!

Speaking of Lamb of God and Overkill...
Great song from the new album of norwegian black/thrash band Aura Noir.
I know there's so many bands to listen to than we have time, but I listened to Dreamscar for a few days before getting their album. It's got a very addictive style. Dreamscar.bandcamp.com.
Before the dawn had a new video out for their upcoming album. Sweet, but YouTube isn't streaming it all at once.
Thought about Hammer Horde Vinlander, but still not sure.
I bought Insomnium and Amorphis this week because I still hadn't picked them up. Amazon had discount because it's March metal month.

Not really into black metal myself, but that sounded sick.Originally Posted by stiggyhead![]()
...Damn, I've been doing a poor job of keeping this thread updated. I'll add a bunch of stuff later. Till then, I suggest checking out the recently released Electric Age by Overkill. It's the most kickass and high energy music I've heard in a long time. Luckily there's a high voltage warning on it!
Give this track a listen and you'll know what I'm talking about. If you're a fan of any metal, you're in for a real treat. Crank it up.![]()
A new song from the forthcoming Marduk album (Black Metal) Marduk - M.A.M.M.O.N.
Nile (Death Metal) is recording a new album which is set to be realesed in the second quarter of 2012
Shining (Sweden) (Prog-influenced Blackened Metal) is recording an album - if you like Opeth you should check them out -
Cattle Decapitation (Death Metal/Grind) is releasing a new album on May 8.
Drum recording and new song from their forthcoming album.
So this is really good news for extreme metal fans like me
It's going to be an awesome metal year![]()
DragonForce The Power Witin on April 17th. I got my preorder in just so I can hear the fast ripping guitars. I know some people slam them, but they sound unique enough.
Wait, what? I think you're talking about the Norwegian Shining. The Swedish Shining is an awful (yet somehow pretty much the world's most famous) DSBM band.Originally Posted by stiggyhead
