Hi all,

I think the graphics are very good, the music & dialog are not bad either, but the actual game, if you can call it that........is totally bloody pointless! Walk round an island, climb up a tower, jump off & turn into a bird.......truly riveting stuff!

All the scenery did was remind me of army exercises! < In the middle of bloody nowhere, tired, cold, wet, hungry & out of cigarettes.

At least it doesn't force you to carry someone else's weapon and pack, in addition to your own m249, M14, and pack, because they twisted their ankle in the first 5 minutes of a day-long road march.

I didn't watch the vid since i'm at work... but is the entire game 50 minutes long??

LOL, I know what you mean Shifty, I had my burgen on, plus I had to carry someones elses round my neck because he could not cope.......*****! Good times.........ahem!

I can't really give you any other info on Dear Esther, because there isn't any...honestly, it really is pointless, unless it was used to make custom tracks!

It's not really a game, more of a walk-through narrative. Based on the Let's Play videos, I don't think I'd pay $10 for it, especially since I've already played the original free mod. It does have some really impressive scenery and an interesting story, though. I might pick it up during a Steam sale just to crank up the graphics and take some screenshots.

Also, it's kind of funny to see people trying to do "speed-runs" of it
