I just saw an article on how Little Big Planet and LBP2 now have a combined 6 million user created levelsbetween the 2 games. That got me thinking, how many user created tracks do people think there will be on Track Central 1 year after Evo releases? This includes all the skill games and everything.
I'm thinking between 25,000-50,000 user created tracks after 1 year.
I know it's hard to say how many since no one knows how hard or easy the editor will be to use or how many people will buy Evo. Just wanted to hear some thoughts or guesses on it.
I believe your estimations are very conservative, I expect it to be well into the hundred thousands within the first year but I expect most tracks to be pretty mediocre but no worries because there will be a lot of great ones and it'll be easy to find them and avoid low quality tracks.
I think it will be closer to 10,000,000 custom tracks after 1 year.....I just hope the servers can cope?Originally Posted by B00ME![]()
if there's a cheevo for uploading a track, as there normally is in games with editors, then there'll be at least 2 million imo.
hopefully not though.
Over 9000!!!
No, really...
lets say there are 1.5milliondownloads in the 1st year (i think it may be alot more) all of them will mostlikly upload all the tracks they make. 500k might just be there to use the editor, lets say they make 2-5 good tracks a month thats an amazing 2or so million tracks every month 2(mill)x12(months)=24million.
pluss all the noob creators(like me) will be up loading afew tracks each month that could be an aditional 5mill+ more.
so yes my guess is there will be over 24,000,000 tracks in the 1st year
at about an average of 6kb a track thats 144,000,000kb of track data
140,625mb
137gb
