I'm not banning people, or deleting posts/topics, just because they don't agree with my, or another's, point of view. Posting links to videos or articles, or sharing info you have learned from watching, copyright infringing videos is something different.
Like WILLYUMZ, sebbbi, sipe, and myself have said, We don't want people to post unofficial details from a prerelease build of Trials Evolution, let other people purchase the game and see what's in it when it has been released. The Redlynx Forum is not the place to talk about Warez or Copyright infringing material. This has been the case since BEFORE Evolution was announced, but now people say it's just about Redlynx clamping down because of Evo. That isn't the case.
Treads or Posts that link or talk about videos of Unofficial Releases of ANY game will be removed. There may have been some heavy handed Moderation over the weekend, but the way I understand it, a topic was deleted for having links to videos that people have been specifically asked not to post.
The Mods give up their free time to handle things. They do their best to follow the guidelines and precedents set in the Rules and posts made by Forum Admin. If you have a problem with them don't post a thread calling them out, or calling them names, that's considered flaming and is against the rules. Instead, send me a PM where you put down exactly why you think their moderation was lacking, or their methods unjust, and I will try to get back to you about it.

I'm actually kinda surprised that some of the "public" videos on youtube have come from members of this community. I can understand posting a few track videos to satisfy people's curiosity but a showcase of the entire game for their own benefit seems wrong. Especially since the videos don't represent the final version of the game. Kinda seems like a slap in the face to Redlynx.

This whole thing has made me feel a bit hypocritical. I've never been a big Anti-Pirate but seeing reports of members of our own community playing the leak and posting vids angers me. Maybe I've become a RL fanboy.
The only problem I can really see is that people with an illegal copy will possibly be at the top of the leaderboards when Evo comes out, as they would have had practice...but I'm sure they will get beaten very quickly by the experienced riders! Plus it doesn't make me annoyed very much because the entire point of Trials is the leaderboards and (now) the multiplayer online stuff, which you will need to buy the game for anyway!
All I see is frustration that the game isn't out yet, but imagine if Evo had been announced then canned at a later date. That would be infinitely worse!
I'm not mad at Redlynx for anything really. But one sort of thing kind of pissed me off to this day. So i found out about Evolution last august, and around that time they said the game would come out in 2011. So basically I thought cool, it will be out in like 3 months or so. It hits around that time when i think, huh i thought it would be out by now late last year. Now a couple months have gone by since then and i still don't know when its going to be out. If they would have just shot out a later date like summer 2012, then i wouldn't have expected it so early and wouldn't have constantly wondered when it would be out when it wasn't even close. Wasted plenty of time coming here all the time just checking on stuff to see any updates or anything. Still no release date.One day it will be here though.
nothing i can really do about it. I guess it also gives me some time to do other stuff before I'm a slave to my Xbox for a couple months.

They do want to work out the bugs though so I respect that TO AN EXTENT** And yes, I personally(but not alone) feel it was kinda owed to us as deep fans of the franchise that frankly put this company on the map for a huge portion of there current fan base.only regret that Redlynx didn't release more info sooner themselves with the late release and all) And I know they made more games than just this one but to be honest I purchased several after playing HD and frankly they were all stinkers(my opinion).
**Shame on you guys for the promise of a 2011 release date, I forget what is the date?
Either way I am now a huge fan of the franchise, I am thankful for the sneak peek as well, I look forward to being in the top 300 of this new one as well.
OH while I am at it does anyone know if it will be 2400,1600 MS points. Or even a cash buy?
