So then what am I seeing when I walk into a best buy and they have sports and other stuff playing in 3D? Is that just special channels that have 3D or just stuff made just for me seeing in the store as an example of what the 3d would look like?
Normal broadcasts are usually only 2D. However, there are quite a few channels with 24/7 3D-broadcasts. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_television#3D_Channels.
And yeah, some blue-rays and a few dozen 360 games support 3D too.

I have a 3D TV and I think it's okay, but nothing mind blowing really. Personally I'd shoot for a better picture quality and features rather than 3D support when considering a new TV, although watching some blueray 3D -movies can be a blast

Whatever you do, don't buy a Coby. It's a horrible, horrible brand. I've had so many problems with mine: overscan issues that can't be fixed, bad color and brightness options, picture scaling and alignment issues, and random crashes. Yes, the whole TV actually freezes up for no reason, and the only way to shut it off is to pull the power cord.

This is the most important thing to me. I don't care about 3D.
If I could look at my TV and it be so clear with a high enough framerate to feel like I'm looking through a window I will be one happy fella.

Yeah when I was talking about 3D I meant the 3D that gives more depth. Not the coming out of the screen thing. So then I can do anything in the MORE DEPTH 3D.If so then I will buy one.
