it takes long time to get gold all.. and then there is endless content with editor and sharing.. kindda wierd that they think content will be bad there. and lower the score based on that.
yes i'd like to see them even finish some tracks that the comunity editors will come up with![]()
OXM UK... 7.5 for longevity... Good one guys, you almost had me there for a second. Seriously though, game reviews for games like Evo are often quite skewed for a number of reasons. The reviewer's skill level plays a huge role in determining their perception of the game for one. Considering I've seen a number of mags play this game for previews who have obviously no trials experience its not surprising that they would look badly upon a game that they could not fully complete. It's not something that happens to game reviewers often considering how mainstream-audience pandering most of today's games are.
Two, reviewers have strict deadlines to meet with their reviews and will often rush through a game and allow initial judgements to make it into the review without even questioning them. Remember, these people reviewing the game are highly unlikely to be trials fans at all. There is still a strong perception that arcade games are not worthy of hardcore appeal and thus, are judged based on perhaps, 5-10 hours of play which we all know is not even close to the amount of time it takes to fully appreciate trials.
I haven't played the game yet and the issues they raise about the curved driving line and camera could be completely correct but judging by all of the videos I have seen I can't see it being a big problem.
Oh yeah and one moe thing, the joke about the ***** track is not very original. I've heard the same joke about every game with user generated content. If they had even taken the time to go on YouTube to look at the custom tracks from the prequel they would know that there is a diehard community of track creators who will undoubtably create tonnes of unique and exciting content.
Regardless of skew or skill, it still got solid scores across the board.![]()
im definitely biased but to me, any reviewer scoring Trials Evolution a 7.5 for longevity should get the sack and find a new job.
theres no other game in the world that goes so far towards he idea of 'limitless gameplay'. id love to hear them explain/justify that score, what a disgrace.
Those are the kind of idiots that probably give call of duty a ten.

Yes, 7.5 on longevity is the funniest thing I've hear in a while.
I guess a few thousand tracks isn't enough for some.![]()
If it weren't for this game, I probably would barely game these days.
Thanks Redlynx.
