Will Trials Evolution have the option to turn checkpoints off? I think that'd be extremely helpful because for experienced players that go for record times won't have to alternate between the B and the Back button everytime you fault, depending if you get past the first checkpoint, which gets annoying since B is 10 times more easy to press. You could just press B and restart from the beginning each time. Especially since most experienced players usually know when they're gonna crash BEFORE they actually do, or maybe they could just make it so that the exact second you crash you'll restart from the beginning automatically. I don't see how this would hurt the game or make anything easier.
Also I think it'd be awesome if we could use or create different checkpoint styles for our tracks so they could fit in with the theme more
If you use B to restart, you lose about a half second. I don't think any top riders use B.
I meant the only time I use B is when I fault before the first checkpoint.Originally Posted by ChicagoAJ
Agreed. Pressing back gives you time to also reset and get ready to ride again.Originally Posted by ChicagoAJ
I only use B if its custom tracks i dont care about.
Just suck it up and use back.
That's ******** - I use b and It's just as fast - test it in the editor - 10m track with no obstacles - hold a the whole time and restart with b and restart with back - same time every timeOriginally Posted by ChicagoAJ
I use B to restart in the first checkpoint as it saves about 1 second of my life each time compared to Back.Originally Posted by Malachyte
There used to be a bug where using the B button meant your replay would likely not work correctly, but I think they fixed that.
The only real difference I can think of is if you need to have your rider in a particular position for the best start, using BACK gives you a sec to make sure your joystick is there.
One curious thing I noticed yesterday, there are actually THREE different starting countdowns! (Noticed this on the Turbo Flip track):
3, 2, 1, GO! (Start from menu, or BACK after you crash)
Ready, GO! (BACK when you haven't yet crashed)
GO! (B button)
Weird, I thought there were only two!
Interesting...I was always scared to use B, but I usually do by accident and I dont even realize Im doing it, I almost see it as being a little better because you can lean almost instantly it seemsOriginally Posted by MurdocLoch
