    Re: How are ties handled?

That would have been interesting if Rook changed to a Z...
Next time I tie with someone, I'll try and test it out.

    Re: How are ties handled?

So, I just scrolled down through the times at some point yesterday looking for ties and found 2 (consecutive) pairs that show that it's not alphabetical.

    Look at these pairs:
    114 and 115
    116 and 117

This game is probably just as mysterious as Trials

    Re: How are ties handled?

Don't know anything about 1000 Heroz really, but in Trials 2 SE (where Redlynx has all the control of the leaderboards/servers) they have it so that the last person who gets the same time, goes higher on the leaderboards. And with Trials HD, it is so that the first one to get a best score is always going to be higher on the leaderboards even if someone gets the same time later, because that's just the way leaderboards on xbl work (nothing to do with Redlynx). So I guess maybe 1000 Heroez is using the Redlynx way that they used in Trials 2 SE too? So if someone matches the time of another, then that someone gets higher on the leaderboard. ..or the other way around haha..just guessing here..Imma just shut up now.

We need answers! Why have the RedLynx Devs forsaken us? What have we done to deserve this? haha

    Re: How are ties handled?

I'm almost certain that I have seen cases where the most recent time and has gone before the least recent time and vice versa... this coupled with arianj's find suggest to me that there might be another decimal place (i.e. 10,000th of a second) that is recorded to the db but not displayed (would be pointless anyway as the times are somewhat tied to frame rate). Can't think of any other explanation.

It seems that whoever posts the time/score first, stays first.

Please note that I'm not exactly sure about this. I just took two (semi) random rows from the database that had the same time and looked up their position using the game client. The one that was on the top had posted the score about five hours before the other one.

I'm almost certain that that isn't the case as I was recently ticked off because someone matched my time and got on the board before me. I may have been confused though.... it happens.

I'll have to second that. I know I had my time first today and I got bumped down a spot when someone matched my time. grrr
