Hello there,
I've never been a PC gamer myself, as I've always preferred the simple "Put in and play" as apposed to spend several hours installing and getting a game to work, possibly knowing that your machine will not run it.
Anyway, I got Battlefield 3 yesterday for PC (Some of you know I play it on 360, and am around 600SPM/2.5KD). After many issues trying to get the damn game to work I finally got into my first matchhate Origin!).
I CANNOT DO A THING!! Oh dear I feel so pathetic, I have to stand still to shoot, recoil is killing birds more than soldiers, and it feels like 63 players to 1, it took me a whole day to learn how to crouch/lye down, and I've killed appox 5 teammates by trying to fly copters/jets.
Does anybody have any tips to help me aim, as it seems I cannot get any accuracy and everytime I spot someone they've already shot and killed me.
Also if you have Battlefield 3 add me (Can you do this? I don't know) - Destroyer7793 (Old GT, T4K Shadow was taken)
I have mw2, CSS, Bad Company 2, Far Cry 2, and Killing Floor, only thing I would suggest is practice and mess with the settings.
When I first started gaming on computers, I hated using a mouse to aim. It felt awkward. I would've rather used a gamepad. Now it's the opposite. I can't stand using controllers for FPS games. This is coming from someone who initially started playing first person shooters 10 years ago starting with Halo: CE. I've played Xbox games for years and it only took a few weeks of PC gaming to change my system of choice. As always, practice makes perfect. Don't give up on something if it's hard at first. This could be said about Trials in particular.
Also, it helps if you turn off mouse precision, which is mouse acceleration. (Mouse Acceleration increases the speed of your mouse cursor based on the speed you move your mouse) If it is turned off, you can get used to aiming better. To turn it off, go to mouse properties, pointer options, and uncheck the box next to mouse precision. To get to mouse properties, go to control panel and in the search box, type 'mouse.' Now just click on 'change mouse settings.' Good luck!
I sent you a friend request on Origin, however, I won't be playing anymore once Evolution comes out.
Buy a Game for Windows controller just like the xbox? Thats what i would do but not sure if it would work with every PC game.
Go back to console man pc may be ahead of consoles but it costs a fortune to keep them up to date complete waste of time in my opinion.
Get yourself a decent gaming mouse with high dpi.
I recommend the Logitech MX 518 Optical Mouse. It's very accurate, has a few extra buttons, and you can quickly customize the sensitivity during your game with some buttons by the scroll wheel.
It's also one of the cheapest high quality gaming mice you can get. http://www.logitech.com/en-roeu/mice...e/devices/4259
Once you have a decent mouse, you'll just have to get used to aiming naturally. No real "tips" I can give you on precision.
PS: I find aiming on PC MUCH easier than aiming on console once you get the hang of it.
I have a Steam account if you wanna add me. jladds123

Will be here tomorrow!![]()
I only do single player, unless it's a racing game. The only FPS I ever got into was HL2.
That's a great mouse. One of my buddies had one. He assigned each button on the side to perform a specific action. (macro) So he could press 1 for crouch or 6 for throw grenade, etc.. You can play games without ever taking your fingers off WASD.Originally Posted by T4KShadow
