    Favorite/Hated Big Thrills winners

Inspired by a recent post by ChicagoAJ, I would like to hear peoples opinion on the winners of the big thrills pack comp. Do you hate a track? Why? And vice versa.... as a custom builder who feels their building lacks the awesomeness others achieve, I would love to hear some detailed responses.

ps: ChicagoAJ, you are now obligated to describe your feelings on Crows Dojo and maybe even a favorite

I'll list the tracks and then just write bad or good or similar adjectives.

    Ram it down - good
    Roadkill - bad
    Mystical journey - favorite!!!
    Pirates gold - ehhh, alright
    Crows dojo - terrible
    Flight school - sucks
Laser tag - one of the worst ever
The forum - close 2nd to mystical journey, very close!
High voltage - alright but more towards bad
    Weakest Link - 3rd best

That's my opinion. Like it or hate it, but there it is

    Forgot weakest Link!

My favorites are High Voltage and Mystical Journey.
My least favorites are Flight School and Laser Tag.

BUT! I do appreciate the creativity in those tracks. I just cant control the bike in flight. And laser tag is a pain in the ***.

So what do/dont you like? Difficulty? Obstacles? Driving line? Decoration? Atmosphere? Lighting? Camera angle? etc...

The Weakest Link - Meh. Boring driveline, alright scenery.

RAM It Down - Meh. The huge pillar things that fall as you ride along them are pretty cool conceptually, but the track really doesn't have much else going for it...

Roadkill - Fun track, unique style!

Mystical Journey - Awesome. Not sure if it deserved 1st place, but it's definitely one of the top three.

Pirate's Gold - The best atmosphere/scenery out of all 10 winners... possibly the best scenery out of ALL the in-game trials tracks. However the track is pretty boring and annoying to play - it has no flow whatsoever and is more awkward and irritating than anything else... it's clear that all the effort went into creating an awesome environment.

The Crow's Dojo - Awesome scenery, decent - but not great - drive line.

Flight School - Unique concept... a bit plain in terms of scenery... but honestly I HATE afterburners with a passion. I feel like I'm not even playing Trials - it's like learning a whole new game. Probably my least favorite of all 10 tracks, but I can see why it got picked since it's pretty unique. Also trying to get Platinum on Big Thrills Countdown made me hate this track even more...

Laser Tag - It seems a lot of good players hate this track, but honestly I kinda like it. Sure, it has no flow, but it's got some unique ideas and I think it's actually pretty fun to play! Maybe that's because I've always liked more awkward obstacles and never cared much for speed-running.

The Forum - Love it. It doesn't stand out much in terms of environment - it basically takes the style of the in-game tracks to a new level, but doesn't bring anything new to the table... however as always with o SKUMBAG o, the drive line is EXCELLENT.

High Voltage - Honestly I think this deserved 1st place. I've always been a big fan of xIRON WARLORDx, and I really feel like this track brought a lot more to the table than both Mystical Journey and Pirate's Gold. Really fun drive line, some fun shortcuts/timesavers, and as always with xIRON WARLORDx, very unique and fun physics obstacles. Also the scenery is really cool. Not quite as unique and awesome as Pirate's Gold which has nothing going for it besides environment, and definitely much better than the very minimal scenery in Mystical Journey, although the minimal style does work very well for that track.

Best - Ram it down. By far my most favorite track ever.

Worst - Crows Dojo and Laser Tag are pretty much tied.

    Re: Favorite/Hated Big Thrills winners

Weakest link is the most fun for me. The Forum and High Voltage have such complicated driving lines, and too many little details yoi have to get down for a good run.

My least favorite is Laser Tag. Sorry iCry.

This takes me back... I revised my list for anyone who cares:

    <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://www.redlynxgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=5127&p=63946#p63946">viewtopi c.php?f=28&t=5127&p=63946#p63946</a><!-- l -->

On a side note, I think other customs and the official tracks are considerably better made.

    1. Mystical journey numero uno !!! scenery/physics working very well great job done here nothing to say against that
    1. The forum numero uno !!! technical, fun, hard, obstacles variation really pro work

    3. High voltage really like that track too, good atmosphere, good physics too

    4. Ram it down fats driving line
    5. Weakest Link fast driving line
    6. Roadkill fun line
    7. Pirates gold good idea for a scenery (but not the best to speedrun)
    7. Crows dojo good idea here too but kinda flow breaker for me

    9. Flight school just like Malachyte, i dislike afterburners (1st one ok to get some speed at the beginning but after that.... others become annoying, would have liked a replica (even shorter) runnable without extra afterburners) but it's undeniable that there is work behind that... just not my cup of thee
    9. Laser tag original but flow-breaker i hate to have to complete-stop if it's not tricky extreme/ninja difficulty

I have to say that i played those at the release and almost not anymore since i platted them so except for my top 3, the rest can be subject to changes.

    Re: Favorite/Hated Big Thrills winners

Let's keep it from being one word feedback guys, saying "sucks", "bad", or "hate it" isn't valuable feedback. Most of these guys still make tracks, and can still learn from your feedback.

Except for Roadkill, you can certainly leave one word thoughts on it.

Favorite: High Voltage - I love the theme. The drive line is really nice (except the tire swing... Still not a fan of that part). I thoroughly enjoy it every time I play Trials HD.

Least Favorite: Tie between Roadkill and LaserTag. Roadkill I played about 6 million times in testing, so it feels older than the original tracks. Feels like a chore to race it. Definitely some things that I would now change in it. Redlynx took out a shortcut (for very good reason) and looking back, I wish I had made the "smash through the window" part a bit more involved than just hitting a ramp and skipping that whole bottom section.

LaserTag - There is certainly a kind of zombie hitching/shambling flow, but it's so difficult that I don't even try. Some of the track's obstacles don't seem to work the way that they should. Stopping for no reason, exploding at seemingly random times. I also dislike the ramp that takes you to the 2nd "sentry". For some reason the bike acts like that ramp is covered in oil. I think that with just a bit more work on the line, instead of the just physics objects, could have made this one of my favorites.
