There are a load of Greens on right now so heres hoping that this bump will get their attention to answer the question.
I kinda like it! Reminds me of Micro Machines on Sega Genesis![]()
And believe me i's the only good system for a 4 player local game. I don't think that splitscreen or something like that would work!
Ok so here's your answer:
When somebody falls off the screen they get respawned at the next checkpoint. They don't spawn until the rider in last passes through that checkpoint though, and they spawn at the same speed as the rider in last.
Falling off the screen causes you to lose a point. The maximum points you can get is 10 per race. You would get this if you come in 1st and don't fall off the screen. So if you fell off the screen and came in 1st you would get 9 points. Then the person in 2nd if they didn't fall off the screen would get 8. It's very simple.
The camera angle follows the rider in 1st. It shows everybody on the screen but advances with the rider in 1st this way you have to keep up with him if you don't want to fall off the screen.
I'm pretty sure that explains it all but of there are any more questions then feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer![]()
That sounds ****.
Is this for the game mode where everyone but yourself are ghosts?
I thought that the ghost mode was where you just play as you would in single player but there are other players ghost on screen if you are on the same part of the level.
What you have said sounds crap and for those that are reall bad, a game mode that will never be played.
I think I am good at Trials (not brilliant) but I have mates that are **** and if they keep gettign pulled from the screen because I or someone else is ahead they will get bored quick.
Alsoo this is the question I would like answering please
If we are playing extreme tracks and someone finishes first, are they then able to watch one of the other riders continue their run?
I hope so because I don't want to be waiting for ages or anyone else to be waiting for ages without being able to have a laugh or watch something.
There are 3 distinct multiplayer game modes (this is my numbering, not anything official):Originally Posted by wicket2961
Mode 1: Local on "motocross" tracks (camera follows leader, risk of respawn if you fall behind)
Mode 2: XBLA on motocross tracks (camera follows each player on their own box)
Mode 3: XBLA on single-user tracks (ghost mode)
For the reasons you stated, the motocross tracks are designed to be more "flow-oriented" instead of having very technical tricks. In any case, playing over XBLA (either motocross or "ghost mode") won't have this respawn feature.
I'm sure that won't stop people from making very difficult (extreme) custom motocross tracks. Let's see how it plays out.
Correct! There are 3 different game modes. And they each have their own distinct features and such so you can play to your liking.Originally Posted by MegaTrain
Dont knock the game modes now when you havent even played them yet and know all of the features. You should be happy that RedLynx is even adding multiplayer at all. They could have left it out.
Thats information we dont know yet and i doubt we will know until the game comes out. They have yet to show any footage or really reveal much information about mulitplayer extreme tracks. So this is something you will have to find out about when we get our hands on the game.Originally Posted by wicket2961
This multiplayer stuff has me most interested. Im not a fan of playing much online but this is going to be awesome. Also, I am already looking forward to single player ghosts as I have been teaching a number of my friends to get better at trials, with this, I can actually show them... I have done little tutorials to people online before, but i have to play the same track, but then say things like :
"See that little brown box, move your back tyre to just infront of it, the lean forwards, then accelerate 60% until you hit the upwards ramp section, then lean back and forward quickly and accelerate again"
Now I will be able to say:
"Like this"
I am looking forward to that!
