I've noticed, as I'm sure a few of you have also...
On some tracks featuring curved driving lines, there is a jump entering and leaving a curved section.
When the rider rakes the jump he continues to curve through the air.
Its no gamebreaker by any means.
It just seem to defy the laws of physics.
Yeah seems a little weird but it won't bother me at all.
From the in-game tracks I've seen so far, it's not too noticeable. I'll probably try to avoid it in my custom tracks, though.
i noticed that the driving like turns right as well as left
I completely agree. I noticed this as soon as the earliest Evo vids hit YouTube... and it bugged the crap out of me. Shouldn't affect gameplay in any way, but it just looks strange.Originally Posted by esoner
Maybe they've adjusted their tracks so you don't turn in mid-air. Or maybe they added lots of explosions so you just don't notice

I can see physics junkies using it to their advantage. You could have a track that looks straight, but when you get to a certain section it all turns with the drive line.![]()
I saw the curved jumping as well. It is only super noticeable on one of the videos I saw but it was still fairly awkward feeling.
I noticed it but it didn't bother me in any way. I thought it was normal and part of the games physics and the rider being tied to the riding line.
I would think its much more of a track design issue (avoiding curving the line when you expect the bike to be in the air).
One thing that would have been cool, though, is to have the bike LEAN the appropriate direction when going through a turn. Having it stand straight up through a turn looks really weird.
Yea, it seems impossible to "fix" this on a core level. But I agree - none of the in-game tracks should have drive lines that curve in mid-air. Of course for custom tracks it would be up to individual creators whether or not they felt like being realistic in this regard.Originally Posted by MegaTrain
Good call. This is actually something else that crossed my mind back when Evo vids first started popping up online. It looks really strange especially with sharper turns.Originally Posted by MegaTrain
Again, both of these "issues" won't affect gameplay in any way, but it just seems sloppy to me to include such obvious physics-defying elements in a game which is mainly well known for it's awesome and realistic (although exaggerated) physics engine.
