Dear Forum Members,
Qc, Oski, and myself have discussed some things lately, and this is what we have decided:
TROLLING:
Example: "U r a *******"
The constant trolling of ANY user's posts is certainly not in accordance to Forum Policies, and should not be happening.
Replies that offer nothing to the discussion except to flame another user *will* result in a warning. This is NOT user specific. Good-natured ribbing is one thing, constant trolling is quite another. There are measures you can take if you don't get along with other users.
Self-control is the 1st level, if you wouldn't want something said to/about you, then it doesn't need to be said about other users. Use some common sense guys. If you are angry, then walk away from your PC/phone/whatever. Clear your head.
The FOE option is the 2nd level. Simply click on the button under a user's post that says "profile" and you should be able to add them to your "Foe list". This hides all posts, though not topics, created by a user that you don't get along with.
Please use these to help you keep yourself from entering into an ugly argument that results in other users deciding to leave the forums and you receiving warnings.
PROFANITY:
Stop it.
You know what you are typing if you are purposefully misspelling words to get around the (admittedly lacking) profanity filter. It's against the rules. If something isn't currently blocked that doesn't make it acceptable to post.
Basically, leave the F-Bombs out of your vocabulary here. They're everywhere. EV-ER-E-WHERE.
There are forum rules. If you use this forum (same rules apply to chat) then you need to know and follow the rules. We don't want to become censoring butt-heads but we are going to enforce the rules handed down by Redlynx. It's our job.
The mods have had a serious word with me. I'll be behaving. Don't fret.
Trolling....what is with spamming?![]()
So now we cannot even react to spam (irrelevant, stupid) posts.
From which ever user it is coming. That is retarted. I just thought if I may say this but since it is not user specific, I may.
You don´t react to the situation you ban the people complaining about it.
Edit: This is not in anyway in connection to Starfire´s post above. Just saw it afterwards!
If you read Star's post then you would see we have reacted to one situation. Us blasting on one user when there are multiple sides involved isn't fair in any way.Originally Posted by Happyflow
You can certainly react to posts. If you don't agree with someone you can explain why or even leave it at "I don't think that's right". Piling insults and obscenities into a post leaves you with a warning and, if it's bad enough, a vacation from the forums. The correct way to react to it is to report the post if it is indeed spam. If it is just a topic that you don't see any worth in, then not replying would be the best bet.
Topics in Off-Topic don't need to be relevant to anything else as long as they follow the forum rules. Posting anger fueled posts in a topic that you don't see worth in doesn't do much except anger the OP and keep bumping the topic.
99% of the forum users have no reason to change their posting habits, but if we are cracking down on antics that don't belong on these forums, then it's going to be the exact same consequences for every single person.
No exceptions.
I feel like this thread was made partially because of me. I raged in a post last night (which I'm sure some of you know of) and probably broke a few of the rules.
Guess I'll have to chill out and follow rules.
Where do you find the official forum rules?
Ps. Hmm what happens if you give lespritdelescalier a warning![]()

I can get warned just like anyone else. The only special treatment I get around here is a ******* ** *** **** ****** and a *****-****** **** ****.Originally Posted by Happyflow
Edit: I guess I have my own special word filter too.
