I was asked to write some music in the style of streets of rage for a flash game my friend is working on (well so he says)

tell me what you think.

p.s. this isn't the finished song but a rough draft of it. I just want some feedback on it at it's early stages

yeah will do but if you have any criticism about it don't be shy about saying. all kinds of feedback is welcome and the more criticism the better the finished song will be.

Thank you! This is making my morning really splendid! I think you should hold onto the end tone before you switch to a totally different tone, then the switch will be more pronounced. Really like it! Sci-fi trance environmental hybrid! That's my stuff!

I always find it odd when people say "I don't know much about..." Use your intuition. It's mostly about imagination, not knowledge.

When you said Streets of Rage I thought it was going to be in the vein of some old 8-bit style music like the examples below. These guys are so good, they're on Rephlex records (Aphex Twin's label).
