    I'd have to find the quote, but I seem to remember a dev said something about that falling on your head faulted you right away, so no chance of recovery.

    Yes, this is true. You cannot recover from landing on your head in Trials Evolution. The developers said they always thought of it as a bug.
    Besides, in the real sport if any part of your body touches the ground, it is counted as a fault. However, there may be an option for custom multiplayer races that alters the physics to allow you to land on your head again. So, if you picked up the skill to flip back over, it might not be a wasted talent.

    I'm glad that it's gone. Now, mainly for the hardcore tracks, you have to actually clear the obstacle instead of barely making it over and landing on your head just to recover and keep going. One of the main reasons I love Trials so much is that it's extremely technical. One small mistake results in a crash or a massive loss in time. Removing this crutch just makes the game even less forgiving. (which I love) Thanks Trials team! I cannot wait to spend thousands of hours playing this masterpiece.
