TrialsHD.Net Goes on Strike!
No this is not against RedLynx for not releasing Trials Evolution this is about SOPA and PIPA.
I know my site is not big or anything, but I will do what I can to inform the masses about these ridiculous bills that are dangerous to our way of life. Sites are striking in all different ways, but they are united by this: do the biggest thing you possibly can, and drive contacts to Congress.
On Jan 24th, Congress will vote to pass internet censorship in the Senate, even though the vast majority of Americans are opposed. We need to kill the bill - PIPA in the Senate and SOPA in the House - to protect our rights to free speech, privacy, and prosperity. We need internet companies to follow Reddit's lead and stand up for the web, as we internet users are doing every day.
Everyone should be opposed to this and do their part to fight it.
Here is a quick rundown from my favorite site Reddit
http://blog.reddit.com/2012/01/techn...-sopa-and.html
Read it before it goes dark, because if this passes then simple sites like TrialsHD.net might easily get screwed.

I've heard a little about this. Don't know much of the details but I'm glad your going along with it. Stand up for what you think is right!

It got pushed back but it's not dead and this type of regulations need to die. Sign the online petitions, contact your senators and do whatever you can to make sure they don't pull this stupid stunts.

Re: TrialsHD.Net Goes on Strike!
I am certainly against piracy, but this legislature isn't the way to go about slowing it down. This can be used as a serious impediment to the freedom of speech and I am certain that it will be as misused and abused as other legislature of this nature.
These acts do not only affect the United States, but ANY website that has a US based registered domain such as .com or .org. This legislation allows the Attorny General to order sites, such as Google, to remove any links to any sites that are deemed "Harmful to Copyright Owners".
If this passes it will be a dark day on the Internet indeed.
Please, take a minute to look over the legislature, then contact your Senator, Congresperson, or government and let them know what you think.
As of now, I am happy to say that all Senators/Congressmen from Kansas say they are against this legislature. I know because I called their offices. If you want to keep a free Internet, I strongly urge you to do the same.

Re: TrialsHD.Net Goes on Strike!
Sadly both Senators here are supporting SOPA, I contacted them to see if I can help discourage them. I also signed the petition on Whitehouse.gov and the google petition. Other than spreading this with word of mouth, I'm not sure what else to do.
