i used to use the analog and A when i 1st started, dident know the RT could be used.
i came straight from the ps2 to the 360 1 of the 1st games i saw was thd. used to play grand trismo thats why i used the A. then went on to rt then a few months affter went on to use the d-pad.

now i sometimes hold a and rt at the same time and wonder why im going up a hill at 90mph about to do a back flip *_*

but be warned the d-pad causes guitar finger (hard lump of skin)
mines pealing off its rather sick :O
they should realy have paded it.

RT & analog. I only use the D-pad in certain skill games.

You can absolutely reply to old threads. To reply with a post that is off topic in a thread that has been dead for months is different.

    Aren't all old threads dead?

No. I posted for the first time in 6 months in my track making topic. I would hope that I can still post there.

What Shifty means is that if you have something on topic and constructive to contribute to an existing topic, then by all means do so. Resurrecting an old topic that never really had a "topic", or just for the hell of it with a random one-off post would be something different.

Anyways, I think that Jarrett was just helping the OP get the answers they were looking for.
