    Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2

I haven't played any FF games since the one with the weird water-soccer (football) thing.

Didn't care for it at all.

Do the newer games allow you to set up moves in advance, or is it more real time stuff? I miss the strategy of the older games over the button mashing.

Sure, a single boss battle could last over an hour, but it made you plan that stuff out.

    Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2

I loved the earlier final fantasies, from 1 all the way up to 9. 8 was my favorite.

I started XIII and really wanted to like it. After about 6 hours in, I couldnt take it anymore. I gave it back to my friend I borrorwed it from and never played it again. For the whole 6 hours, the game was nothing but walking down corridors and fighting enemies. No exploration, no finding new towns, no talking to other characters.... just walking and fighting. LAME!

edit... It was about the most beautiful game I have ever seen though, graphics and artwork.

I know that feeling Jook, I was disappointed it made you do the game and later on it gave you free roam at grand pulse...

Ahh shifty blitz ball was a cool addition to the game, give you something aside to do.

Jook 8 was the best by far, the bad thing happened was on disc 4 with Eden, you couldn't go anywhere lol. But made alot of sense, omega weapon was a beast but I didn't use squalls renzetsukeon move.. I used Bahamuts Str+40 upto 80 and his special move on him to beat him. was awesome using Irvine too, demolition ammo!

Ok I'm ranting on lol! I never completed 1 or 12, they were awful.

I'd be interested in getting the story and cinematics, and stuff the gameplay altogether. Do they sell such a version?

    Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2

First ive heard about it lol.
But i will DEFINITELY consider getting it. FF games have been my favourite games since birth, but iv'e been extremely disappointed with every release since number 10. They've gone downhill, so if this one is any like the previous ones, i will be a bit put-off. But hey, i'll check the demo.

Well if you get this one apparently it doesn't spoil the first XIII so you can play this one with out getting the first one! Whoop!

    I guess u mean Vanille

Played 13 for about 10 hours havent played it in a real long time tho should finish it sometime before XIII-2 i guess.

FF 7 was best in my opinion i really liked the sumon system/ turn based fighting in there i think they kinda screwed that part up, it still is playable this way but it think it ruled the way 7 played.

    Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2

I prefer really fast paced movements I guess that's why Final Fantasy 7,8,9 and 10 were really good. 12 was awful, the gambit system was crap, 13 would of been of the best final fantasies of all time if they made more free roam, different missions, and just went all out with it, they did brillant with the story but it felt just like cutscenes... It needed that extra push.

I just hope that this final fantasy will bring a better outcome! I'm so looking forward to it.
