Stop making threads.
Just because you started a thread with a topic that is complicated, does not make it mature.
It's your intentions. Intentions matter most.
Imagine if a man donated to charity. If he donated for the sake of doing good and giving to those in need, then he is good. If he donated for the sake of improving his own image, then he is bad.
You created this thread out of trolling. You couldn't care less about it.
So shut up.
Oh shut up, bDIdol. People are having a discussion here. What difference does it make who made the thread.
I see that now, but it doesn't change how he is.Originally Posted by Dosto

Since the thread's discussion has been started, I shall continue to say..
I saw that girl getting run over. F***ed up, man. About population and money, of course it's a problem. Unfortunately, this problem will never be fixed unless there will be some form of population control, which is of course illegal and communist.
The population will keep growing without stop. Sure, the speed of its incline will lower, but the world population will continue to go positive, regardless of issues like food, shelter, etc.. seeing as how the world hunger problem isn't about amount of food rather the access of it, the only way to feed this already overpopulated world is to stop subsidizing the farmers so they can actually profit, especially those in 3rd world countries like those in Africa.
Population control is the quickest answer to overpopulation, it's just immoral, communist, and illegal. Therefore, I don't really see an end in sight.
A ridiculously small percentage of behaviour is due to biological reasons. There are a few places in this world that have ab****e zero crime as well as groups of people, take the amish for example.Originally Posted by NovaDarkStorm
Upbringing is of course directly linked to society also.
I think it's quite recent experts found that environment actually creates and activates/deactiates genes.
For more info see robert sapolsky, jacque fresco, james gilligan or dr gabor mate.
is it immoral if its for the greater good? and it wont continue to grow forever. the planet only has so many resources and we're already exhausting those.Originally Posted by bDIdol
global population will reach have to reach a peak at some point and when conditions are at their harshest, too many people will be dying too quickly for population too increase any further.
as for the financial situation, a global recession is a big deal in terms of living costs and unemployment but it wont last forever.
sometimes things have to get a lot worse before they can improve. night is darkest before the dawn and all that![]()
heres one for people to think about (even if they dont post):
not too long ago i argued with someone about the work of nasa and space exploration and generally pouring so much money into science.
they said it was pointless and a huge waste of time and money when things are so bad at the moment.
i said that at some point this planet wont even exist, it will be destroyed. and if we havent found another suitable planet by then, our species will be extinct.
this hopefully wont be for millions of years and we might have been wiped from the planet before then anyway, but its interesting to think about.
the only way for humanity to avoid extinction is to find somewhere else to live and that either means finding a way to travel faster than light (because other solar systems are so far away) or living on ships in space for hundreds of years while we travel to another planet. i think its fascinating to think that the earth wont even be here in the future![]()
I said Adolf Hitler, not specifically Nazis, who were just doing as commanded. To them we were the enemies. To explain my point though, i will pretend Nazis were evil. If i was one, and killed innocent people of my own will because others were doing it, and they considered it ok, Inside i would believe what i was doing was wrong. I wouldn't admit it if some one asked, but nontheless i would still believe it.Originally Posted by picklezz08
Well, I'm a christian, so i personally believe that no matter what we do, we will eventually be wiped out anyway(New earth and all that jazz). I think that would be before the need to move to a new planet. If however, we did manage to stay around that long, that would be pretty kick ***Originally Posted by WILLYUMZ![]()
Yes. In my opinion, the ends do not always justify the means. More specifically if one was to assume a dictator or totalitarian position in order to reduce the population to a more comfortable state.Originally Posted by WILLYUMZ
If two people were arguing, and you killed one of them, then that stops the bickering, right? Well, the product might have been positive, but the methods and procedures are not, therefore it should not be done.
Individualism. Let people themselves figure out their own problems. Granted, many are in quick a pickle (i.e. 3rd world countries, the Middle East), but I believe we should fix ourselves before others. Selfish, but necessary.
In that I mean helping our country, not individual desires, before helping another country.
And besides, not all the Middle Eastern countries even want our help in the first place. They just want to live their lives and enjoy them. Think about it like this..
U.S: "Hey, you guys look like you're in a tight spot. Want our help?"
Middle East: "No, not really."
U.S: "TOO BAD."
...and now I'm arguing about something we weren't even talking about. Well I'll leave that up for further discussion if anyone is interested.
But WILLYUMZ, no I do not think the end product justifies the process to get to it.
Mike, you really can't say that. nazis truly believed they were doing the right thing, they viewed jews as no more than cockroaches, I don't believe they had a second thought that what they were doing was wrong. It was all for the greater good...
willyumz I think you're wrong too, the job market might improve slightly but it will never be anything remotely close to the 60's. Technology creates jobs, but far far more jobs are lost to technology and almost all jobs can and will be automated.
Unless we have a major war of course...
If more people could work part time for a living wage, that would work, more people would have a job but that goes against the rules of capitalism. Companies couldn't afford to pay a living wage.
I think it's pretty sad that we put space travel ahead of provding the absolute basic needs for our species. What does that say about the human race?![]()
Mike do you believe the world is coming to an end in 2012? Alot of christians do.
