So after checking for a rlease date 3 or 4 times every day for like forever and sifting trough the forums, I decided to finally register.
Anyway - I performed a search for Evo at classification.gov.au.
i tried searching for Trials Evolution, Trials, Trials HD, and every other version of the name I can imagine. What suprised me is I could not find a listing for HD. Also tried to search for 'RedLynx' but could only find Motoheroz.
I was going to say "Good luck getting the game in 2011 if there is no classification yet" however if there is no listing for Trials HD I guess there is still a chance.
None the less, I'd love the game before the new year, but I dont expect it here in Aus till mid to late first quarter.
Merry Christmas. Happy Trials trails.
G'day mate, noticed you browsing the forums yesterday... just thought i'd show you a warm welcome from another Aussie! There are only a few of us around here so thanks for joining.
Not sure why the classification is not here. Perhaps because it is a download item the regulations around this are somewhat different? I dont recall ever seeing a Aussie rating for any XBLA games I have played.. but perhaps i don't pay attention any more.
Also my GT is below if you want some other Aussie friends... Im always keen to play with locals. No issue with others but our timezone makes for some difficult gaming!
This is the first time i have been on the forums in like 4 days redlynx can take another 4 years if they want i'm lovin bf3 again merry christmas manOriginally Posted by AussieNufMan![]()
Hello again
All I was really checking for was to see if there had been an Aus classification review made for the game so maybe it would give some hint on release progress. When I found the only RedLynx title listed is Motoheroz my heart sank a little. Given there is not a listing for any Trials title to date, I assume no review will be required for Evo either.
There are ratings for Bastion, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, n+, Super Meat Boy and Pinball FX 1&2 plus many more. However - NO Trials HD let alone Trials evolution. There is also no rating for Limbo?!?. Maybe it is something to do with the title being released in Aus solely on XBLA and not purchasable in a Bricks and Mortar store - I'm just guessing here....
The more I search, the more I find 'holes'....
Anyway, a new Sushi Train opened up down the road so I'm off to get some cheap opening day specials.
I have emailed classification.gov.au to try and get a response to why some titles like HD (and Evo as it appears so far) do not require an Aus calssification. Needless to say, I have yet to receive any form of response. Can anyone here (Dev's maybe) shed any light?
Don't think that I'm trying some backhanded way to find a release date. The more I look into it, the more it appears there are 'holes' in the AU classification system. I'm just trying to figure out/understand how a game that has 'Violence toward animated human characters' or whatever PEGI says can release here with no AU review. I'm not really that suprised - SBS On Demand XBLA App has a doco on the Pirelli Calendar feturing full frontal nudity for all to watch.
On a side note about Classification in AU. Our Free to air TV has just had daytime maximum gating changed from G (general) to PG (parental guidance). This may not seem like much, but it does have for some interesting changes on ABC and SBS.
Anyway, enough rambling.
I would love to burn, demolish, and bulldoze the Australian Government Classification building into the ground.
And then say, "You can't arrest me. I'm Starfire !!"
I highly doubt that simply saying 'You cant arrest me' will work. I doubt you have fully thought that plan through. Maybe if you hold a hand gun and point it at the sky while shooting and shouting you might be taken more seriously. Then again, ASIO might just have you bonked on the head as it were.
