If you manage to pass the first obstacle, I'm sure you'll finish the track.Originally Posted by FatShady

Kim had a great video tutorial showing how to beat that part, but his kimish ways made him delete it.
I bumped into t2se by pure luck, I had no idea this game existed. I'm not much of a gamer though, so I wasn't looking.Originally Posted by FatShady

I have this game as well....having trouble adjusting...I have so much trials hd under my belt but I've played this here and there over the past few months. There a certain game controller I can use for this game rather than relying on the arrows? Akam what do you use?![]()
You can use an xbox controller I believe, if you have the kind that connects with a computer. I have the logitech F710 wireless controller, but I believe any logitech controller would work. I personally play with a keyboard though, and any good rider would tell you that's the only way to playT2SE (effectively). I use WASD controls, but I'm in the minority. Most use arrows.
Use 360 controller. Either USB one (not charge cable) or get a USB wireless dongle and use wireless controller. That's what I'm using and it's much easier.Originally Posted by Mung

As FaceStab already said, the only way to play t2se and become good at it, is with a keyboard. I doubt there a single player in the top100 that uses a controller. I even doubt the possibility that someone can reach top spots or even get a single good track rank (e.g top5) with a controller.Originally Posted by Mung
I understand why people coming from thd feel a controller is the only way but when I played thd, coming from t2se, I did not ask for a keyboard. thd is optimised for the xbox controller and it feels ok. On the other hand t2se is a keyboard game. The gamepad possibility is there and it can be fun too, but I believe it's a disadvantage.
All the above is what I've gathered from my experience in trials. I could be wrong though. Wrong as in, you get used to the gamepad and get about rank 20-30. Higher than that, I'd bet there is no chance. Keyboard guys would kill ya.
Still I might lose the bet. I don't know damn it. If I manage to locate my gamepad, I'll give it a spin myself.
Oh man, what are you putting me into right now? DAMN IT!
I guess its a question of what you are used to, as you said AkaM. But i still think the keyboard it quicker in the leaning forward backwards than the controller. But actually i don't know, use what ever you prefer sooner or later you might master the controller in t2se too:P I've only played 2-3 hours of THD and find trouble using the joystick thingy(constantly moving it up and down instead of to the sides)but i got "only" 22 faults and diabolic first try i'm a bit proud of that
I use keyboard arrow keys.
Setting: all low, no effects of any sort and windowed(1024x768 or what ever is close to that)
Muted the game so i can hear my music while riding my bike ;P

So I gave it a try, not enough to help me with my estimation on how high a player can get, but enough to clear my mind about a few things.
Yes, the keyboard is definitely quicker and in t2se you can actually use this power to get ahead of competition. It's the little things that will eventually make the difference. Although switch jump is hard to do fast with a gamepad and that's like a huge thing!Originally Posted by Degn
So my verdict is the following points:
1) Using a gamepad creates a disadvantage
2) Top Keyboard players will ALWAYS be ahead!
Also I realized that everyone should use the keyboard, no matter how much they prefer playing with a gamepad. That's the only way to unlock the full t2se experience and truly appreciate the gameplay.
P.S. I play like Degn, low graphics and windowed but with sound on. Low graphics is an excellent suggestion. The others are just preference.
I should state that I was mainly playing this game just for now until Evo came out and when My fiance wanted to play my xbox. But now the more I play this the more I am enjoying it. Physics seem to react a bit different as far as reaction time to leaning the back from one way to another but am catching on to it. I caught on to Trials HD much quicker however but have nothing but respect for the dedicated T2SE players. These hard tracks, at this point and time, make me want to punch children.
maybe i wont get t2se before evo thenOriginally Posted by Mung![]()
