Skyrim: Most useful/favourite items/magic etc..
Soooo much in this game, I expect we have all different stuff even in early game depending on where we go. Thought it be cool to share useful/favourite items/magic etc..
For me
Magic: Clairvoyance- shows a path to current objective. I tend to get quite easily lost in the underground places, so this helps at times.
Magic: Flames- I use this alot at the moment, still novice though.
Weapon: Familiar staff- only just got this cool item, spawns a familiar to help in battle, recharges quite fast!
Magic: Conjur flame atronach- Epic woman made of fire helps me out.
Weapon: Orcish bow- Love a bit of archery, it's the most powerful bow I have found so far, with 16 damage.

Level 17..a bow 28 damage, robes of destruction, 50% magika-12% spell cost, pickpocket gloves 25% increase.. flame atro(woman thing ) shock and fire spells. And raise dead.. I tend to stay back from the fights and use poison arrows
Currently saving 25000 for a big house.. its a lot of selling stuff.. anyone know the best way to make money.. I pickpocket, theive, and sell stuff ...
Also, prob just me but I only discovered LB makes you run, usefull when a bear wants to eat your face ... also anyone know where you can get nite eye or a light, better than a torch

I don't know because I haven't tried it but it seems a very good way to make money is to mine, smelt it into ingots and make stuff. Dunno what's best to mine though, id imagine it's gold but not sure.

My favorite weapon is Red Eagle's Honed Ancient Nord Greatsword of Burning. It kills almost all enemy's in 1 or 2 hits.

Re: Skyrim: Most useful/favourite items/magic etc..
I decided to play on the hardest difficulty so I don't know if these things apply to lower difficulties but...
MAGIC SUCKS. Seriously. At least destruction does. I'll use all of my Magicka to cast a novice flame/frost/lightning spell and by the end of that the enemy I used it on will have lost about 10% of his health. Then I bought some apprentice level spells, but they take up so much Magicka that I can cast about 3 of them and that still takes away about 10% health. The wolf that you can summon dies in one hit by pretty much any enemy, but I think the flame atronarch is better.
One-handed is okay. I have to rely on my companion to distract enemies because most enemies are impossible to handle in one-on-one melee combat.
Which leaves archery, which for some reason is really, really good.
P.S.: Here's how I make a poo-load of money. Save any jewels or gold/silver ingots/ores and use them to make jewelry. Then enchant that jewelry. Just use whatever enchantment you have that increases the value of the jewelry the most.

Got my smithing up to 100 just making iron daggers and custom made a daedric greatsword I named Zweihänder and a daedric bow I named Eagle's Eye. The sword hit's at 66 and does 10 points of fire damage and the Bow hits at 56 and does 10 points of fire damage. I can take down a dragon with like 10 arrows.
