Ok... so what is the point of this site really?
Also, it's annoying to get a notification that someone has added you as a friend, then you have to go to their page and add them back.

Agreed. Not sure if it'll do anything, but I sent them some feedback asking about the "buddy" system. I suggested just adding an approval process to all buddy requests, and then once approved you're both just on each other's lists without the re-adding.
