I have an idea that i hope you will take in to consideration.
as most know after trying to 0 fault the harder track in the game most people are use to taping the back button to restart the track.
now i dont know if you have already done it but how about an option you can toggle on and off that brings up a.......errr cant remember the name....lets just call it an "are you sure" message.
in trials evo custom track will be much harder and more challenging than any thing we have on THD at the moment. It would be very frustrating if you hit the back and had to start all over agian. Not that it isent frustrating now.
Edit: confirmation thats what i was trying to think of!
i kinda agree, but accidentally hitting the back button was way more common before i got decent at the game. no offence, i still suck and your prolly ranked higher, but i rarely hit this by accident anymore, but as i said, i did it alot when the game was new.
customizable buttonconfig would be a good idea tho.
i do use the B but some times i hit the back when i dont want to so a confirmation option would be nice to have
I think the only reason I wouldn't want it is becuase when i want to restart the full level, the extra confirmation would piss me off for taking an extra second or two. I know, I'm impatientOriginally Posted by spoonfed![]()
This really seems like something that wouldn't be well liked by a group, and loved by a different group.
I can see where it could be frustrating, but it just seems like user error. When I want to reset to the last checkpoint I press "B", when I want to restart the track I press "back".
I don't really want a game to second guess my every action, intentional or not. I'm already not a fan of the confirmation pop-up when I restart a tournament, why do I need that every single time I screw up my run and want to try from the beginning?
what im saying here is an option in the option menu to toggle this feature on and off, so that its not always on its just on when you want it.Originally Posted by spoonfed
i dont like it either when it comes up on tournaments but since i got yours and some other peoples ninja tracks i continuously kept presing the back button out of habit thats what made me think about this. and im saying toggle not on all of the time that would be alot better.
well even this can be trained into your muscle memory. It never happens to me now, but it used to alot. Imagine when your trying to speed run a track and every time you go to restart a little message comes up saying are you sure. Most of us can't stand waiting for the 2 seconds of Ready...Go... or the count down in general. Just keep practicing and eventually a perfect run with a fault at the end won't even bother you, it's expected. Rinse and repeat is the name of the game....Trials HD same will go for Evo.
I'm guessing your using the analog stick and your thumb is sweaty... Wipe it off every now and again. If you want some real advice start using the D-pad now it will train you for the latter levels of skill and you can't slip onto the < button from the D-pad.
