i killed the gargoyles alone, after 20~ tries i got them...it was crazy, hardest fight till now in my opinion,
i killed the butterfly-thing and now im lvl 60, that game is so rewarding.....

Actually that's wrong. The guy you summon is the sun guy that you meet right before the red dragon breathes fire on you.

Here's a hint. Get to the end of the catacombs and fight the boss, but DO NOT continue forward into the next area. The catacomb's boss gives you a very important item which you should get as early as possible, but do not go past him. Even at level 80 I had problems with the part after him.

Catacombs have been no problem at all. The dark part afterwards is a whole different story Since I haven´t seen a bit I fell down and died, twice.
Gave up then and tried for Sen´s Fortress. Heavy stuff goin on there, too

Btw, the only thing the boss dropped was a mask...

You'll find out what that church guy is for soon. Prepare to be surprised lol.

Also the Catacombs boss should have given you the Rite of Kindling. If it didn't then you have a serious problem. It lets you kindle bonfires even more so that you can get up to 20 flasks from them. Check your inventory under keys to make sure you have it.

Quick question, you been to the Abyss or Lake Ash? Right know I have the feeling that I shouldn´t be here this early
I have no clue how to get out there and back to someplace "normal" alive. There are stronger versions of those curse frogs, many of them!!!

I literally just found Lake Ash like five minutes ago. How the hell did you find it? Did you cheat? Because I had to.

And yes, you should get the hell out of there. Although I heard that climbing back up the tree is really hard.

Also how did you already get to the Abyss?

I didn´t know what to do since everywhere I went it was real hard and I just wanted to fool around. So I went back to Quelaag and went down to fight against this huge Fire-Demon in the ruins. Was there once, but some seconds after I grabbed the armor lying there I was killed. Thought to give it another shot with no more results

Went back to the swamp of Blight Town and spotted some ninja/assassin whatever. Never seen that one there before and it was no invading Phantom. Anyways, after beating this guy I just went folling around some more in the swamp and found this cave at the whole other end where there are 2 false walls... Went through and then it said "Abyss". Well it didn´t, cause my game is in German, but it would have in your game In fact, it´s just a huge tree, I expected somthing different (Although I have to say the acoustics there are awesome(!). Completely quiet except for the footsteps and breaking branches. With all the reverb it really gives you the feeling of being completely lost and alone). Went down there and when I met those frogs it got more and more running away till I got to the bottom. I went out and have been at the lake. Spotted the Hydra that now isn´t stuck at one place and ran for my life. Got to the tree where there are more frogs in, went back out and ran some more till I got to the dragon. Then I went back and saw the hydra shooting water again. Waited some steps back where the shots didn´t kill me. That was when I wrote on here. Somehow the game had a funny bug and the hydra suddenly died, gave me 10k souls and 2 Dragon Scales
Climbing back up wasn´t too difficult at all then. This red cloak I got in Blight Town has pretty good curse resistance, the Mushroom People are lame and the frogs stupid, so the biggest problem was finding the way
If you still are down there here´s how I got past the frogs on my way up: One of them comes after you even before you are on their platform, I just shot him with 2 great heavy soul arrows. Didn´t care for the second and ran right to the ladder. Climbed up till the end but didn´t leave it. A frog spotted me and jumped right in the hole where the ladder is. Left the ladder, took one step, frog 2 spotted me, I went back to the ladder, he jumped, in the very same hole, way clear

How exactly did you cheat?! And did you get the dragon head, too? Looks funny...

I cheated by looking up where those invisible walls were. How the hell did you know that they were there?

Also that German translation must suck. The giant tree you were in is called "The Great Hollow" in English, "The Abyss" is a completely different place that you will go to later.

I stopped playing when I got to Lake Ash, but I don't have to bother getting back up because I have an item that allows you to warp from bonfire to bonfire. You'll get it later. I have like 5 purging stones so I don't need to worry about the frogs much anyway.

Well, that could explain it Thougt it would be the Abyss cause I heard that place existed and you could translate it both ways from german...
And to make one thing clear. The translations in games suck in 90%. But I wanted Dark Souls on release day so I had to buy the german version. In general I order games in UK.

im level 65 and still run with the drakesword....it sucks
i hit sif for 60 dmg...i need a new weapon, any advices?
