Why should RL give away their work to people who are nearly certain to buy it?
Maybe they should give it to every forum member and anyone who bought Trials HD! Hell, they should send a code to everyone who played the THD demo. /sarcasm
These guys already do a ton for their fans. They sponsor contests, put out RLTV, and (most important) listen to what we want and try their best to implement it.
Why shouldn't they be paid for their work?

I, for one, spend an insane amount of time playing Trials. Usually I am in the editor trying to figure out some new thing.
How, and why, should riding in the game be more important that track creation?
Should RL also give Trials Evo to people who place in the top of track contests? Which contests? Where does the "we deserve it for free because we are REAL fans" end so that Redlynx can earn some cash to offset development costs.
As a fan, I don't think that anyone should get a free copy of any Redlynx game. These guys are more deserving of my cash than EA, Activision, or any of those other $60 a year for the same thing companies.
I think Evo will be under $20, and, even if it only had the same amount of content available in HD, it's a steal at that price.
If you want more games from RL, let them know by purchasing their games.
I think that there should be a "GameScrub" Achievement for posting a time for a custom track, and a "GOLEM" Achievement for posting 500 times for customs.
Those dudes are the biggest fans I know.

Microsoft more than likely already take a big cut off any sales an arcade game makes. Your talking about a team of x amount of people for 6 months+ work, it's not as though they will be really wealthy from this.
I just hope they make enough money to make it worth investing in new trials games, dlc's and such.
I think they should get the evo hoodies in stock.. my Xmas list is pretty blank so far
