i love films and im interested to find out about good films ive missed and even ones to avoid if you have any.
if you can add a little description aswell it would be niceobviously only aimed at people who havent heard of / seen each film.
Moon - thriller/mystery about a man coming to the end of a 3 year stint maintaining a mining station on the moon. great film.
Unthinkable - tense thriller with Samuel L Jackson as a 'special interrogator' whos against the clock.
The Prestige - Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale are 2 rival magicians trying to out do each other. keeps you guessing all the way.
Source Code - very recent with Jake Gyllenhaal. its not groundbreaking but its a good film id watch again.
Sunshine - tense sci fi. a team of scientists travel to our dying sun to try and restart it and save the planet.
Tree of Life - i think it was anba who posted a trailer of this months back. to be honest it kind of went over my head because its such a deep, 'spiritual' sort of film but i definitely enjoyed it still. its to do with the way and meaning of life and goes right back to the start of the universe as well as following the lives of one family. very interesting watch. brad pitt and sean penn.
I'm bad at sumnmerizing movies, hopefully you get the gist of em though.
Basket Case - A guy carries around his hideously deformed brother in a basket. His brother keeps escaping and killing people.
Brain Damage - A guy comes across this worm-type monster. When he is bitten by it, he gets the most amazing high and halloucinations. While he is high, the monster thing keeps killing people.
Street Trash - A bunch of bums come across a really old and wierd case of booze. When the drink it, they end up melting horrifically almost instantly.
Slither - A really good horror movie. A guy gets a parasite from space and starts acting really wierd. Lots of crazy stuff happens with worm things attacking a town. Awesome movie.
Demons - A group of teens are in a scary movie and demons keep killing people.
Dead Alive (also called Braindead) - Peter Jackson directed zombie movie, before he made the lord of the rings trilogy. Bloodiest movier ever made.... hands down.
Frightners - Another Peter jackson movier starring Michael J. Fox. He can see ghosts and tries to stop the ghost of a cereal killer. Awesome movie!
Bad Taste - Another Peter Jackson movie. Really old, I think its his first. Aliens are on earth and capturing and killing people to use them as fast food on their planet. Two Rambo type dudes kick some *** to save the day.

Favorite action films: Zatoichi the blind swordsman, Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior, The Protector (recently watched so I remember the title)
Favorite corporate films: The Ax (Le couperet) , The bothersome man
Great romances: Let the right one in. Sorry Wills, I can't remember the damn titles.
Of course, I never recommend movies from the US.
Ong bak is quality... young boy trained from birth to be a warrior.. like 300 but loads better.. must see..
Onk bak 2 is rubbish ..
Donkey punch... great movie
its one of mine too. the music by clint mansell was amazingOriginally Posted by MurdocLoch![]()
Ong Bak - Horrible acting. Amazing stunts and fighting. Tony Jaa puts Jackie Chan to shame with his stunt work. Ong Bak 2 & 3 are a miss though.
True Grit - The original is good. Jeff Bridges makes the 2010 remake awesome. An alcoholic marshal helps a young girl exact revenge on her father's killer.
Moon - A man's 3 (or 4) year solo tour mining the surface of the moon is drawing to an end. A damned fine movie.
Tron Legacy - I hated the first Tron, the second is better and allows you to totally skip watching the 1st if you haven't put yourself through the horror.
Battle Los Angelas - Basically War of the Worlds from a Marine's perspective. Some nice effects, and Aaron Eckhart's performance sells the role.
Book of Eli - I think everyone should watch it. I'm not the biggest Denzel Washington fan, but he plays this role well. Mila Kunis isn't bad in it either.
Mr Brooks - A psychotic man argues with his split personality about commuting murder. Kevin Costner.
The Guardian - Kostner and Kutcher play Coast Guard Rescue Divers, Kutcher is in training. Good movie.
The Recruit - Al Pachino! C'mon Now! CIA Operative movie.
Awake - The latest Anakin Skywalker plays a man getting a heart transplant. The bad part is that he suffers from "anesthetic awareness", meaning he is awake on the table, but totally paralyzed.
Boondock Saints - 2 brothers strike out to avenge crime. Awesome movie. The second is poo though.
Suicide Kings - 5 friends kidnap mob kingpin, played by Christopher Walken. Watch it.
The Walking Dead - Sure, it's not a "movie" but you can buy it on Bluray. Do it. A zombie action/drama. Good times.
That's it for now.
The Man From Earth. A group intelligently discusses the possibility of their friend being a 14,000 year old caveman. AWESOME thinker!
Hard Candy. Girl sets a trap for an online predator.
Blues Brothers.
Poltergeist
Eric The Viking
The Thing (Original)
The Perfect Host. I would describe it but I don't wanna give away what makes it interesting.
Dirty Harry
Wrecked. Dude wakes up in a crashed car with amnesia and slowly pieces things together.
Stuck. Guy gets hit by a nurse and she leaves him in the windshield, in her garage and bad things happen.
The Walking Dead. It's like a really long and segmented movie
Breaking Bad. Too awesome to leave out of a thread like this![]()
